Icon7 Lake Buena Vista

Hey all! This is my first trip to Disney in years and my first time not staying with family. Though we can not afford to stay on site this year, we are staying at Lake Buena Vista at the fairfield inn. Any comments on this hotel and area would be appreciated. We are looking for money saving transportation tips. WE do have a rental car, but from ya'll conversations that may even be more hetic.

Re: Lake Buena Vista

Hi queensmama,

I've never stayed there, but I did a quick search on "tripadvisor.com" and there were GREAT reviews! I think for the most part that you are safe to go with a Marriott chain; they are normally clean and a good value. This hotel seems to be very conveniently located as well.

Check Trip Advisor and read the reviews for yourself. I think it might put your mind at ease!

Re: Lake Buena Vista

Don't mean to sound like a know-it-all, but if you're staying at Fairfield Inn Lake Buena Vista, you CAN afford to stay onsite at any of the All-Star resorts or at Pop Century. In fact, you might even pay less for on-site convenience and LOTS of Disney magic you simply won't get off-site. Check it out! It's REALLY worth it to investigate! Good Luck!

Re: Lake Buena Vista

I stayed at Fairfield Inn @ LBV in 2002, it was part of the Marriott village at little lake bryan, and was very nice. It was very much like a large resort since there was a courtyard, marriott, and fairfield all in one central area.
The room cost me about $60 for one night, so it all depends on when you go.
The best thing about staying there is youre in walkin distance to Golden Corral, Bahama breeze, Landrys, and Lonestar steakhouse, which are all excellent restaurants. Plus way cheaper than any decent restaurant on dis prop.
If you're looking to stay off prop for a decent price, these are great accomodations, plus if you're a shopper, you're down the road from the premium outlets too!

Re: Lake Buena Vista

I got a $53 a night room with lake view, and I dont have to pay extra for my refrigerator(very important with a 2 yo who needs milk), or rollaway bed. I guess it may have been about equal after I add in my parking fees, but I had to have a fridge.

Re: Lake Buena Vista

I've never stayed there, but the location is very good - all the restauarants and two grocery stores are right near by. Plus, the entrance to Downtown Disney is so close! I'm sure it will nice. Have a wonderful time! I just love Lake Buena Vista!
