Does Disney hold food as well as luggage?

We will be leaving in two weeks for our WDW trip and we plan on staying off site the first night of our vacation. The next morning we will be dropping off our luggage at WLV to be held before venturing out to MK since we most likely cannot get into our room until after 3pm. We want to save money by stocking our room with groceries but don't want to spend the $$ on the limited supply that DVC has on their food list. So we thought we would buy at a local grocery store in the morning before dropping off our luggage and taking the rental back to the car place.

Now to my question... does anybody know if the hotels will hold on to your food for you. Will they refrigerate your perishables so when we come back from the park we can retrieve them and put them in our room?

We've only had a case of water held with our luggage. And it sure would be nice if I could have a couple of gallons of milk and o.j. kept cold for our big crew.

That is a very tough question. I would suggest calling WLV directly, and ask them. You may even want you to get them to transfer you to Baggage Services.

If a cooler is part of your luggage that you are dropping off, then why not?

The Yacht Club has held our groceries, but I'm not sure about perishables. We just buy those items on-site.

Yes! We just got back from VWL and stopped for groceries before our arrival. We got some milk, orange juice and butter. DH dealt with the bags while I took our girls to the restroom, and I meant to tell him to ask for the perishables to be refrigerated. Then I realized the camera was in one of the bags and when a CM took me to get it, she mentioned that the food was already stored in a fridge before I could even ask.

Yes they do. They held 2 gallons of milk for us at the Poly this past June and a bottle of our daughters Amoxycillan
