Tips for offsite hotels, please

Hello all...I am new here. Been searching online for help and came across you! Hooray!
Finally..some real people with good advice.

the last time we were at DW was when my daughter was 4 years old. Needless to say, she is now almost 17 and has two little bro's. The boys are 8 and 5.

We need some help. I found a hotel in DD for only $250.00 for three nights (actually it is a suite).
Now we need some more money saving tips. This is a last minute thing. We are going to Savannah for Christmas to visit my husbands niece, and thought the kids would enjoy DW. Not to mention mom!
So, how can we save some money? Any tips on tickets to Cirque?
That is going to be part of my daughters xmas gift. Where can we get them? Do I have to wait until I get there since we are not staying in WD hotel?

Any help would be appreciated. It has been too long since we were there. Can't wait to go again.
:)

We recently stayed at the Raddison Resort parkway at a very reasonable rate for a resort of this caliber. It is located on hwy 192 and is very convenient. We have been to WWD 3 times and have stayed off property all 3 times. This was the nicest place so far! Have fun!:D :D :D

Oh. also check out mousesavers.com for great bargains and ideas, Mary Waring was very helpful to me when I planned our latest trip, and this website is chock full of good info. We used ticketmania to buy our tickets and had very good luck!:)

lisajl!

First off WELCOME TO DISNEYCENTRAL! YOu have found a great site for info! EVeryone is very helpful so feel free to ask away with your questions!

We used priceline and got the Dolphin for 100.00 for one night we were very happy with this rate since they were asking for 304.00 a night on their site.. So you might want to look there and expedia as well.. they are a good site for "deals" in orlando.

Lisa :)

Hi, and welcome to DC,
As far as hotels, you can stay on-site for about the same price for a moderate, or even less for an All-Star. If you need the suite, though, stick with your original reservation. Regarding Cirque du Soleil, the show is called La Nouba, and we saw it in July. You can get tickets, regardless of where you're staying, by calling (407)WDisney and talking to a CM. It's a fantastic show, and, as I've mentioned elsewhere on these boards, it's a must-see if you're going to WDW. I enjoyed it even more than when I saw Lion King on Broadway. Good luck in your decisions, and have a great trip!:D :)

Thanks

Thanks for all your help. I appreciate all your help. Can't wait to get there. I just posted something about Cirque, also.
Just bought the tickets a few minutes ago. Can't wait to see it.
I just love Disney. We need some happiness in our lives. Too much sadness.
Take care..

great rates

I understand the need for a suite. That's why our trip in October will be the first off-site. We love on-site, but need some space!

We got an unbelievable rate for a 2-room suite w/seperate kitchenette through orlandovcation.com. It might be worth checking out. Also, the hotel sells passes at a better rate than AAA.

Have a great time!:D

posiclemom, welcome to DisneyCentral. We always have to book a 2 bedroom, that is why we joined Disney Vacation Club. We couldn't afford to go to WDW anymore and stay onsite, but by staying at OKW, the room is very affordable, and we are still onsite.

You may want to be careful buying Disney passes from anyone but Disney. They don't sell the passes to anyone at a discount, so many of the places selling Disney passes are buying them from other sources, and there is a chance they could be counterfit or partially used. As far as passes for other attractions, most of them sell passes wholesale to resorts and travel agencies, so you should be ok.

suites

Hello!
Our hotel is offsite, but still only a mile from Cirque, etc.
There are 5 of us, so we needed to find an inexpensive place to stay. Also, needed a place where we could spread out.
I know we won't spend a lot of time in the hotel room, but with an almost 17 year old and her two little bro's (8 and 5) things get kinda crowded.
I took advice from another site that said it may be cheaper to buy things seperatly. Finding out that is true for my big family.
