I know this has probably been covered here in the past, but please bear with me, as I am still pretty new to this site. DH and I are looking to purchase our tickets for our Disney trip in Feb, and aren't sure where to purchase them from. I know the most obvious place is to purchase directly through Disney, but I was wondering if any of you have purchased through alternate means and had good luck with them. I usually like to play it safe, and I'm a little skeptical about purchasing from sites that I'm not familiar with, however I know there are a lot of legit sites out there that may be able to save us some money (more to spend in the parks, right?). We are going to be purchasing 2 adult 10 day base tickets with the no expiration option (don't need hopping option) and one children's 5 day base ticket (don't need any options on this one). We are taking my 6 year old niece this trip and planning to spend 5 days at the parks, but DH and I will be returning next year without her and figured it would save the most money by prepaying for out tickets for next year.

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks for your help!

Hi and welcome to DC. I don't think I have welcomed you yet and if I did, please accept a double welcome..lol First off, your little darling in your avatar is GORGEOUS! Next, with WDW offering the new Magic your way tickets, I would stick with buying from them or through your travel agent if you used one. If you have a Disney store near you, get it from them. Hotwire.com also sells disney tickets but are still only offering the 4 and 5 day park hopper plusses....at least they were the other day. I haven't checked. For paranoia sakes, I am buying mine for my boyfriend's son through disney for my trip at the end of the month. I looked at a 3 day magic your way with park hopping and it cost $219 to give you an idea. Stick with buying them from disney, but do it before you get there.

Thanks for the welcome! That's DS in my avater from last year's trip. He loved all the pirate gear in the gift shop after the ride! I think you are right about purchasing directly from Disney - that's most likely what I will end up doing. I've only seen the 10 day passes on one other site other than Disney (MapleLeaf) and I think they only offer them with the park hopping option, which we don't really need. Thought it was worth asking anyway - thanks for the info!

BTW - have a great time on your trip! It's coming up fast (lucky for me, I'm not too far behind you!! 38 days to go!!)

I have never tried them but I am considering buying from ticketmomma or mapleleaf tickets. I think I found both sites either on mousesavers or Debs site. Both places offer the new tickets cheaper than from Disney. Has anyone bought from these places?????

You can get discounted park tickets thru triple A? I got a reduced room rate but didn't know about the tickets. How would I go about doing that???

I bought my tickets in 2002 from Maple Leaf and had a great experience. They were great and the cheapest at the time. Good luck with finding your tickets!

funny you should mention them. I just checked their prices and there is no savings. A 3 day base ticket, no exp, Maple Leaf was selling for $182.12, tax included.

The price of the same ticket thru Disney was $171.00, no tax.

Doesn't seem discounted to me.

I am purchasing a 10 day premium with no expiration. From Disney, it is slightly over $400 (including taxes). From ticketmomma, it is $362 (including taxes), and from mapleleaf it is $379 (including taxes). There is a shipping fee that also must be paid. I think it is $13 from ticketmomma. I cant see why I shouldn't buy from ticketmomma unless someone has had a bad experience from them.

Welcome to DC! I hope you come back and give us a trip report. In fact if you haven't already you might want to look up a few and read them. I learn so much from them and find them very helpful in answering the question that never are asked.

Anyway my DW like the budget and buy end of trips so I have no help on the tickets.

Thanks to you all for the warm welcome and great advice on tickets! We're in the middle of deciding where to purchase them from now. And yes, I'll definitley do a trip report when I get back! It will help me get over the after vacation blues!
