Annual Pass and Hotwire

I bought a 6 day park hopper from hotwire and was wondering if I can upgrade it to an annual pass? When I bought it I didn't realize we would be going again in June, now it wiuld be cheaper for me to get the pass...anyone know?

Being an AP holder I would suggest holding your 6 day pass until you get to WDW and going to Guest Relations at one of the parks and exchanging it for an AP then. You will only have to pay the difference in cost so hang on to your receipt. This way your AP will not start till that day and that will be your anniversary date. Joe

Will this work even if I didn't buy my pass directly from Disney?

A pass to get into WDW parks is always a Disney pass no matter where you bought it. It has value and can only be exchanged for a greater pass, such as an AP. You can't get cash back, you can only use it to get into one of the parks or exchange it as I said. Joe

Yep, I think you should have no problem exchanging it for an AP at guest services. Well, the only problem I could foresee is if you paid a discounted price for the 6-day -- Disney might be able to claim that you didn't pay enough for the ticket originally and would have to pay more to upgrade. But I don't think that would happen. You could always call a Disney ticket agent and ask their opinion. Good luck!
