Disney Dollars

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but......Does anyone know where I can get Disney Dollars? We haven't seen them in the local Disney Store and thought it would be neat to get some for our 4 yo DS to spend on our trip.

They do not display them, you need to ask the cashier, they normally have them.

He's only 4 years old. You could get some Disney Dollars when you arrive at the park, at City Hall for instance or even at your resort, and give them to him in maybe a Disney Wallet which you could purchase before your vacation? Does that make any sense?

That's a great idea Dopey. His birthday is the week before we go so maybe we'll do the wallet thing with the money in it. He'd know if we got them there though. He's too smart fort MY own good!

We love Disney Dollars!!

My kids (and I) love getting these as gifts throughout the year. Then we save up and get whatever we want for us! Even I ask Santa for Disney Dollars!!

I have a 6 year DD. I give her Disney Dollars for things she does around the house. Good report card etc. She love IT. More then Money itselft. She has been saving all her Disney Dollars for out trip!

Yes, the Disney Dollars are behind the counter at your disney store. They keep them locked up for obvious reasons. I love giving these to my DD throughout the year for holidays etc. It gives her some spending money for the trip that is all hers. I also buy them for myself. I will get X amount of dollars each pay week and put it away for my trip as spending money. It's a nice saving technique that works well for me. I also put all my spare change in a old wine jug and when it's filled, I cash the change in for DD. I love the wallet idea Dopey came up with. That would be a cool present for your DS. Maybe you can find one of those kid's velcro wallets with a disney character on it.

they are smart those little rascals, aren't they. I am just thinking you could pick up disney dollars as you check in. He doesn't have to see that. He'll be busy checking out his surroundings. then you grab his wallet and stuff it. Maybe even when he's asleep. Com'on, you can outsmart the smurf.

Anyways, I'm a CM at a Disney Store and you have to ask for the Disney Dollars. We have to keep them locked up or they would walk away if you know what I mean. So yep, just ask and a CM would be happy to get you some.

I plan on buying disney dollars this year!
it's a great budge technique, buying some a little at a time and then by the time your trip comes along, you will have a bunch of disney dollars saved up and wont need to pay any more money out of your pocket!
It hurts less that way, lol then dishing it out when you get there!

So true on it hurting less by purchasing them a little at a time throughout the year. Our last vacation (Nov. '05) I had saved for 2 years. The Disney $'s had bought many of our meals in WDW, my new mickey watch, and many other souveniers. We are headed back down in December '06 and I have already started purchasing the $'s.

I went into our Disney Store right before x-mas and wanted to get some disney dollars and the CM told me that they didnt have anymore and they werent getting more until sometime in spring.... She that its because Disney is changing the design on them to something having to do with Disneyland. She said that you might be able to find a few at some disney stores but not that many...
Ccorbet let me know if you guys got them for patrick so that I can run over there and grab some before we leave. Thanks!
