Re: Really Cheapskate Tip

Oh sure. Anything you add will help out immensely. You can't taste it in the fountain drinks there, and the restaurants use tap water. And a lot of people buy those Brita sport water bottles to filter out the sulphur from the tap water.

Re: Really Cheapskate Tip

my tips: (doubt they will help because they are from a 13 yr old, but what the hay)

-at places like the food court and Casey's Corner in MK, my sister and I just split a meal. We could never handle that much food, and we always have so many disney bars through out the day that we are usually pretty full.

-My fam uses the plastic cups in the hotel rooms and buys ice from the resort and lets it melt a little to make water. we just keep the cups in the ice bucket to keep them cold. (we are afraid tap water has lead or something in it. lol)

-My dad books our vacay and he says it is best for us to stay in value resorts like All-Star Movies because it doesnt cost a ton (we spend enough on the plane tickets) and my fam consists of only 4 people so we all fit, and we don't spend that much time in the resort because we spend most of our time in the parks. We do stay for the pool, and the ASM pool is good enough for me! It is actually pretty nice.

-My family doesn't use too many money savers because we save up a ton all year for our yearly april trip, (i save up a ton of $$$) so we just splurge. BUT, during the year, we don't waste our money, we buy stuff only if we need it.

Tada, those are money saving tips from the mind of a teen.

Re: Really Cheapskate Tip

wow...those are pretty good tips...especially the splitting the food one...I never eat that much! At Grad Nite last year, I had so much food I didn't know what to do with it all...Disney gave all the graduates these chocolate pie things...along with any order of food...it was killer!

Re: Really Cheapskate Tip

Thanks! It works for us- Disney gives HUGE meals. And it is pretty much a waste to spend so much moeny when you can't even finish it all.

Re: Really Cheapskate Tip

On certain days on our last trip, we actually would just have a filling snack or such instead. MUCH cheaper. We still didn't have turkey legs, but it's DEFINATELY on the plan this year...those could EASILY be a meal from the looks of them!

I may be kind of a wierdo, but they look like you just ripped a leg off of some prehistoric dinosaur. I can't bring myself to try one.

Re: Really Cheapskate Tip

If that's how big the legs are, can you imagine how big the rest of the bird is?
