DC discount for Disney Cruise line

I am up for renewal for my DC membership in Dec, I am trying to decide whether to do it or not since we don't have a trip planned next year. HOWEVER we are planning on taking the Disney Cruise (7 day) in January of 2004. This leads me to the following questions:

1. Is there also a DC discount for the Disney Cruises?

and

2. If the DC ends in Dec '03, if I booked during the year would they still honor the DC discount for a cruise in Jan '04?

and

3. Any idea of how much of a discount it is?

Thanks for any help!!!!:angel

Yes and no. There are often discounts for Disney Club on the Cruise Line, though they are infrequent and usually not much. Right now, the only discount is a $50 room credit for each stateroom booked. It will pay for your membership, but isn't much when compared to the overall price.

Most likely, yes. I would guess though that since the Disney Club will not be in existance in January, 2004, there won't be any discounts for it, so it won't make any difference.

The best discounts are usually by booking the cruise in advance, and as far ahead of time as possible. If a better deal comes along, you can change to that, but usually the discount by booking really far ahead is as good as anything that will come along. You can book January, 2004 cruises now through either our sponsor Mouseketrips, any Disney Specialist Travel agency or directly through the Disney Cruise Line.

Do you know anyone taking one of the cruises soon. A really good friend??!! That you can trust. If so, they can book you a cruise at the biggest discount offered with a $200 - $250 down payment per person with the balance to be paid in full 60 days prior to sailing date.

Cheryl, welcome to DisneyCentral. Yes, if you are a member of the Castaway Club, there are significant discounts available, and many last minute specials show up. Of course, you must have already sailed on a Disney Cruise to become a member. I would suggest against booking a cruise in someone else's name though, there are many things that can happen which would force you to pay full fare if they happened to find out, which they usually do.
