Free Nights?

It looks like Disney is not going to offer any Fairytale package like they did 2 years ago buy 4 get three free or buy 5 get 2 nights free like last year. Has anyone heard anything diffrent.

Re: Free Nights?

Nope -- haven't heard anything different. The Magic Your Way packages are still so new -- and Disney is touting the idea that the "longer you stay, the less you pay per day," which is essentially the same idea as the Fairytale Package was. I think we're stuck with these for a while.

Re: Free Nights?

I think WDW is counting on the 50th celebration bringing in enough crowds without the specials they usually have to run to keep attendance up. The MYW passes are taking away many of the discounts already. I woudln't count on that package coming out. The only discounts I have seen are for AP holders.

Re: Free Nights?

I got an email earlier this week for a fall vacation from $425 per adult for a 5 night - 6 day stay in the fall (only valid August 21- October 4) but it had a discount code attached to it- so it cannot be shared! There are deals, I just wonder who they are giving it to!!!

Re: Free Nights?

Disney's annual attendance is now exceeding pre-9-11 levels. As crowds increase, discounts decrease.

I think that's it. We won't see the deep discounts like the past few years because crowd levels are back up. Disney doesn't have to offer deals to fill rooms, the rooms are already full.

Re: Free Nights?

Caver said what I going to say. The more attendence goes up and people continue to go to Disney, the less and less they will offer incentives!!! I have been hearing that.

Re: Free Nights?

The danger is removing discounts MAY hurt resort bookings. Unofficial Guide says when WDW ended Early Entry privileges a few years ago, guest flocked to off-site hotels.

To be honest, I think Disney resorts are too pricey, especially rack rate for the "moderates." You can get better rooms off-site for less, and that can be worth losing a few perks like transportation and EMH when on a tight budget.

Re: Free Nights?

Has anyone seen what Universal is doing to try and compete? Buy 2 nights and get 3 free! Has anyone looked into this? Is it any good or is there a catch?

Re: Free Nights?

I thought this deal was only for the admission tickets. Do they now have something where you get the room for the same deal? I will definitely have to check that out for our upcoming trip. We already bought our tickets, but right n ow we will be paying rack rates so I am hoping that there will be some type of discount for our room once our trip gets closer.

??????

I'm just a guy with strong opinions.

Ask Mickey, but I doubt they'd lose 'em.

This was such an awesome deal. Dh and I got to stay at AKL for 10 days because of this deal. Couldnt have done this without getting the x-tra nights.

Re: Free Nights?

We had gotten deals the past 3 years.............nothing for this year though.

The best deals I am hearing about are specials that Disney is emailing out to specific people. The latest is a deal where you get the dining plan free if you book with a special email "pin" code they are sending out for this fall.
