I need help!! I'm trying to decide my travel dates for next May and can go pretty much anytime during the week but it is so far out I can't check for airfare yet. I have to make my reservations but want to try to save as much money as possible on airfare. If anyone has any experience with this or does a lot of flying, I would appreciate your expertise!! Right now the two options I am considering are to leave on a Monday and return on a Thursday (with Sat night stay)..or to leave Tuesday and return on a Friday. I checked some simliar dates (June 2005 and March 2006) thru Travelocity it's never the same way twice as far as pricing goes.

I have to confirm my reservations tomorrow so if anyone can give me some help I would really really appreciate it!!!!!!

I don't fly much but I know on Expedia if you check flexible travel dates it might give you an idea of which days are better this year. Good luck.

Normally I find the cheapest rates on Wed, or Sat.

I have found that the best day to fly is on a wednesday and saturdays also the worst days are definetly on the weekends (friday and sunday) even though i got a great deal on a flight in july for the 16-23rd which are both saturdays and our flight was under $190.00. so i guess it all depends on how lucky you get with a deal and what airline

I agree. The prices that Im finding for my upcoming Nov trip seem to be cheaper leaving on a wednesday.
When DM and I tried for our trip back in March the prices were so high cause it was on the weekend..

I think Disney needs to get their own airline?

You'll find some great deals on flights in May.
It's a bummer that you can't get prices this far in advance, but when the time does get closer you'll have a lot to look at.
We've flown the past 3 May's in a row and never paid more than 79.00 (one way)
I think it is the norm that flying in/out any days but Friday or Sunday are a bit cheaper.

Okay...so, with all said....I suppose I would be okay on any day I choose but I should try to stay away from Sunday and Friday... I guess it will be Monday/Thursday for me then!!! Thanks for all the assistance guys! I can always count on you to help!

Have to agree with all. Wednesday seems to be cheaper. I was suppose to fly out on a Thursday morning and may end up going a day early to save a few bucks on the flight....more for the hotel, but also more dinsey..lol

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays are the cheapest days to fly. Be careful booking so far in advance, sometimes that ticket will go on sale later down the road, so be sure to check the fare every couple weeks. If the fare goes down call the airline and ask the airline to rebook you on that lower fare. They will rebook you and issue you a travel voucher for use later down the road.

I'm going to try to talk my DH into staying another night so that we can fly in on a Tuesday and leave 11 days later on a Saturday....if not, we will be flying in on a Monday and leaving the Thursday 10 days later. There's no way I'm pushing my days back to 9!! I'll just deal with the added cost! LOL

We are flying out on Saturday and back on Sunday...Got 5 tickets for 502.00 total...taxes and all...Woooooooooo Hoooooooooooo! I couldn't believe it!! I joined a group called Travel Zoo and this is how I found this rate!
