Saving at WDW

Well, there are alot of ways we have saved going to WDW.

1) We have booked room only, then got code that dropped room $600 and then bought tickets from mapleleaftickets.com
2) Share food with a child that doesn't each much, my daughter and I shared, wraps, sandwhiches and french fries, drinks
3) Order water at restautants or instead of buying water go to counter service for a big cup of free ice water, or buy one water bottle you have filled up. I bought one bottle my last trip and reused, and reused it.
4) Buy a double hamburger and order extra bun to make another hambrurger, good for kids that can share together.
5) My daughter and I shared sandwhiches and then she would eat pickles and tomatoes of the toppings bars.
6) Although not very honest (ashamed, did this twice) I have reused the paper cups at the food courts at resorts for the next meal, I just wiped them clean. I knew we would not eat at courts enought to but the refillable mug.
7) I have had yard sales to build up spending money for my kids, they had $50 a piece to spend.
8) If you did not get the dining plan free with your package but want to do sit down restaurants do them at lunch, they are cheaper, you can book a late lunch ressie.

Re: Saving at WDW

Lots of good points. We are still refilling our water bottles from our last trip and that was 15 months ago. When I spend $3 for a bottle of water, I want to make sure I get my moneys worth.

Re: Saving at WDW

Good tips. My DH and I would always split lunch as we are not big lunch eaters to begin with.

ROFL! I have an attachment to my water bottle from my last trip to AK, but it's not really because of the money...I just like the giant bottle with the sports top.

And...it did come from Disney World...

Re: Saving at WDW

I love your tip about the room only booking. I never thought of that. For us it has always been the packages.
