Anyone Know of any other sites other then ...
DisneyWorld.com that allows you to make payments on your vacation? I really want to take my family to DisneyWorld next summer, but I suck at saving, I do much better if I treat it as a bill and budget payments each month. Any suggestions???
Thanks! :)

Welcome to DisneyCentral!
I'm sure you can book through WDW by phone and mail in a payment each month. I haven't done it before but I have heard of people doing it. You might also go through a travel agent (like Mouseketrips) and send them a payment each month.

You can book with mouseketrips. There is a link on the home page. They will book your trip and take care of everything. I pay in installments too. Works out great. I am using them for the second time and am totally thrilled with their service.

Re: Anyone Know of any other sites other then ...
I know you can book with disneyworld.com and put a $200 deposit down and them make payments as long as it's paid 45 days prior to your trip, and our local travel agent will allow payments but they are priced even higher then disneyworld.com. I'm really trying to do a budget vacation to WDW.
Thanks so much for your advice!!! I'm going to check in to Mousetrips!

Mousektrips will not over charge you at all. They will get you the best deal they can. Definately give them a email or a call.

Re: Anyone Know of any other sites other then ...
When I worked as a travel agent, we could book packages through a package wholesaler like AAVacations, WDTC or Hawaii World that had an initial deposit due, with the balance due, say 45 days prior to departure.
We had many clients that just made the initial deposit, then bring us a check or bill their debit card every month (or twice monthly) for say, $200 each time, slowly paying off the balance as opposed to forking over a few thousand dollars at one time. We could easliy call the wholesaler and make the payment, it only took as long as we were on hold. It was a service we extended, and some of the other agencies in our little town didn't do this for clients. You can call travel agents in your town, or maybe contact Mouseketrips online, and see if they will work with you doing this. I haven't worked since September of '01, so I am not sure how much things have changed. I would think not too much has changed regarding package booking rules, but I may be wrong. Just a heads up, sometimes if you are including airfare in your package, it may need to be paid at the time of booking the package--depends on the fare you get for your dates and the wholesaler. That was the exception, not the norm in my experience. But shop around. I'm sure others will have ideas for you too. And welcome to DC!

If I am not mistaken the Disney visa will let you book a Vacation with 0% interest for six months, ( I believe this true at least). Plus you get the rewards card with purchases. it is worth looking in to.
good luck |

Re: Anyone Know of any other sites other then ...
We have booked with WDW twice now. You can make your reservation and pay a $200.00 deposit. After that you can make payments when you can as long as your bill is paid in full 45 days prior to you arrival. You can mail your payments in or you can make payments on line. Two things that we have learned: The $200.00 deposit may be more if you are planning a trip in a short amount of time and, if you are booking your airfare through Disney also the airfare is due in a short amount of time in order to reserve that flight. No one told us that until we received an e-mail saying that we were about to lose our airline if payment was not received (we only owed another $35.00 to pay off the flight). We made a payment on line right away and all was OK, just wish they would have told us.
