I was there last year but heard that the Headless Horseman makes an appearance and that there is a telling of the story before the first parade...any info on this would be appreciated..don't want to miss THAT this year!

I have never been during that time .. I know my granddaughters have wanted to go every since someone was there last year and saw Zora from Final Fantasy. I hope you get an answer ..but I dont have one ..maybe bumping this up will help out!!

Alice, I think that's absolutely right - it all takes place right before the first parade. He rides the entire parade route. I'm not sure where the story takes place, though.

At the castle, I bet!

Would you be able to get the answer about where the story takes place at City Hall? Someone in the park's got to know beforehand, right? Just guessing, as usual...

From the allears website:
10 minutes prior to the Parade Start time, Mr. Knickerbocker takes his place in front of the Liberty Bell and tells the story of the Headless Horseman. At the time he finishes the story, the Horseman begins his gallop through the Magic Kingdom. Once the Horseman has cleared the entire parade route, the parade begins on Main Street!
