Disney Dining Plan

Hi, just thought I would let you know that my sister is at WDW now and she booked her package when they were offering the dining plan free. She says it is absolutely wonderful. They have ate at Cinderella's Royal Table, Boma's, Ohana, Le Cellier, Tusker House and also counter services. They are finding it hard to fit in their snacks...lol Wonder if Disney will offer free dining again? Has anyone else got the free dining when it was being offered? My sister leaves tomorrow on a Disney cruise. I am so jealous....but glad someone is enjoying Disney!!

Re: Disney Dining Plan

LOL, free dining at WDW, all the free food you can eat on the cruise. I hope she brought stretchy clothing!

Tell them to use the snacks on the Food and Wine booths. We walk around the World Showcase yesterday, and could have used 6 or 7 snacks, but we only had 3 left. Everything we had was wonderul.

I am also watching for them to offer free dining again. I will do my best to grab it up if it comes around again...

Re: Disney Dining Plan

I am keeping my fingers crossed I can get that, when I book for my DD and I. I wonder if it would be worth it to call periodically, and ask, before booking?

Re: Disney Dining Plan

Question - On the dining plan, do you have to use each day's worth of meals on a daily basis or is just you have so many for the length of stay and use them as you want? Maybe more one day and less another just so you don't go over your limit?

You get your allotment and you can use them however you want.

Yes, when you check in, you get all your meals/snacks applied to your room keys, and you can use them when you want. We used 5 snacks the last day, since we had them left over. We saved them for the Food and Wine booths and it worked well.

Re: Disney Dining Plan

I had the free dining plan when I went to Disney for Night of Joy weekend. My mother and I figured out that if we had paid full price for all that we ate we would have paid 440 dollars!!!

Re: Disney Dining Plan

We had the free dinig plan at the end of August for 8 days, for the 4 of us 2 adults one 14 year old and a 7 year old. It was the best thing ever, and soo much food. On the last day we had about 6 snacks and 9 counter meals left, we used all at once for snacks, that the kids took to school and we had lunch from Disney on the first day home. It wod've cost us almost 1200 all this food but of course if we had to pay for it we would't go to all the places we went this time, like Chef Mickey Spirit of Aloha, 1900 Park Fare, Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, Whispering Canyon.

Re: Disney Dining Plan

Is there a dining plan for those who don't book packages??

I always find it cheaper to get my best hotel deal and flight myself than to get a package - can I buy my own dining plan too (or am I asking a totally ridiculous question for which I apologize!).
