2006 room discounts

Can anyone please tell me if Disney will come out with room discounts for Feb2006. I have booked a package with dining plan as well. I remember last year they came out with codes that were used for discounts. Also does anyone know if Disney will have a free dining plan in Feb?

I have not heard yet, but I am hoping they extend the dining plan until March ,that's when we are going (due to my son in law losing his job, but has now gotten it back) so I am waiting to hear about early March discounts too

I think that the dining plan is going to stay for a while. I am pricing a trip for next December and it is an option along with a Platinum MYW plan, a plan above the currently highest premium.

I think the question involved whether Disney would or would not offer the free dining plan again in 2006, rather that if it would be available for purchase in 2006.

My impression is that we will not see free dining again, and it is possible, we may not see any discounts at all. If there are, there will be package discounts, similar to the current package discounts through December. I think that if you are going during value season, prior to President's Day weekend, you will probably see something. If you are going during peak season, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Hi guys! I just wanted to let you know that I rec'd an email from Disney 3 days ago telling me that there are discounts for 2006. Dates include: Jan 1-12 & Jan 16-Feb 15
nights/ 7 days for $ 1250.00

Soo SORRY! I just went back & checked my email & you're right. There is a PIN That I would need to use. I'm glad You mentioned it because it was going to deleted.

So many questions, so little time. I've got the airline tickets, now just need to take care of the rest. We're going in January (MLK b-day w/e--3.5days). We'll be going again in August--probably 6-8 days. With all this new stuff, I'm lost as to best bets for tickets and rooms. We like to stay at WL. Should I just call and book something? Are there any codes I should ask for? Should I get APs for us? (2 "adults"...me--legally an adult and then the real adult, my 14 y/o DD) And what about this dining plan? Way too many choices for my little brain these days. Can somebody help me!!!????!!!!

I think the pin numbers are just for the person receiving the original email, they won't work for anybody else I'm afraid.

I've read either on Allears or in Unofficial Guide (or maybe it was Mousesavers???) no one seems to know the reason or rhyme behind private discount codes. It seems to be random selection. The best you can do is get on every Disney email list you can. I've also been playing around with the on-line vacation planner. I always pick the same dates, and then let the "offer" expire in hopes that a pin number comes my way.

Last year we got a pin number a few weeks after requesting a vacation planning DVD. But that didn't happen this year.

Of course, I wonder what would happen if you called WDW and said, I have this pin number for so-and-so. They aren't using it, can I? The answer would probably be "no," but if I had a pin, I'd try.
