Mouseketrips...

Has anyone used Mouseketrips to make reservations? If so, did it work out good for you? I have made a reservation for June 2003 with the Disney Club, but have yet to put down the deposit. I have a week to do that.
Mousketrips suggested to make a regular reservation with them and then in Feb or Mar, if/when special codes come out, they will update the reservation. (They said changing a reservation from a Disney Club reservation was hard to do) I'm just afraid if i use them, at a regular rate now, that I may loose the chance to use a Disney Club or AP holder discount later. Especially if no special codes are given for June. Any suggestions? Thanks!!:!:

Goofygal, Hi! I run Mouseketrips, and I don't want to put something positive or negative here, but I just want to explain something really quickly, for your benefit as well as anyone else considering making a reservation for WDW, either through us or directly through Disney.

When you make a reservation through Mouseketrips, or directly through Disney CRO, your deposit is fully refundable until 5 days prior to arrival. At any time up until that 5 days, you can either cancel your reservation and get a full refund or transfer your deposit to a new reservation made using any current discounts available. After the 5 days, you cannot cancel, but you will most likely be able to move your deposit over to a new reservation, so you won't lose it if something comes up at the last minute and you can't go.

Just for an idea, we rebook about 75% of the reservations that we make. The only problems that we have had is when we used a Disney Club discount to book the initial reservation, and then tried to change it to a room only reservation, simply because Disney Club books through the Travel Company, and their policies are much different than those of CRO.

I've used them for quotes and advice, they have been very friendly and rapid to respond. I had all ready booked our December trip before discovering them. I will be using them in the future.

I just wanted to second what Mickey said about booking through the Disney Club and cancelations. I am a DC member and an AP holder. I booked a room for my friend through my DC account, and used our AP card for our room this past July (she wanted the luggage tags. Don't ask, I don't get it either) She had to pay for her room way in advance, and when she tried to take away a night about a week in advance, it was a veritable nightmare to adjust for her.

For me, I was making adjustments almost weekly to our trip having booked through CRO. Granted, I usually didn't get the brightest bulb in the box, and now I'm understanding from Mousesavers that they've recently hired 200 additional agents, so there's going to be a learning curve. You get the same discounts using a Disney travel specialist, so why not get the added experience without the added cost?

I know Mouseketrips is young, but so wasn't Walt, once upon a time.

I'm Sold on Mouseketrips!

I've made more trips to Disney than I can count and always booked on my own...after doing my homework on the boards, I decided to give Mouseketrips a call to see what they could do for me. I'm very happy I did. They communication was A+, I was given great advice which has already saved me money and have gotten a great deal. I am confident that should there be any additional opportunities to "save" for me, that Keith won't miss them! I will be certain to use them again...preparation for a visit the most magical place on earth needn't be a nightmare!

ENJOY and thanks again Mouseketrips!:)

I couln't agree more with how helpul Mousketrips has been and I haven't even made my reservation yet!!! I e-mailed an formation request out yesterday thinking that it would be some time before anyone got back to me and one hour later, I had a response! I plan on making a reservation very soon (today in fact) and you can definitely bet that it will be through Mousektrips. They offer everything you can possibly think of so I highly recommend checking this site out when making your reservations!

Two more questions though with any of you who are familiar to the site since I'm new at this.. (1) do they accept AAA discounts? and (2) is it easier to book on line or call them directly??
