Looking for room only & got Free Dining Plan
We finally decided on Port Orleans Riverside for our upcoming 4 day trip to WDW from 8/18 to 8/21. Since we have Seasonal Passes, I was waiting for the room only discounts to come out but I figured that I could always make the reservation and call back when the discounts came out.
So I called this morning to make our reservations and I happened to ask about the Free Dining Plan and told the CM how sad I felt because we already had passes. She told me that if we bought a 1-day ticket for each of our party, we can get the benefit of the Free Dining Plan. I asked and was told that we can save these 1-day tickets, since they never run out, or use them to upgrade to new Seasonal Passes, which we definitely plan to do. So now we are getting the benefit of the Free Dining Plan. DW and I plan to pow wow tonight and make plans for the restaurants that we want to go to. I know this is too many but these are the ones we initially thought of: O'hanas Crystal Palace Hollywood & Vine new JoJo character meal - 2 year old Susannah woud flip out. Ankershus - Has anyone been to this place this year? Last year we went and were disappointed because they removed the cold bar and that was the main reason we wanted to go. Chef de France |

I never thought of saving the passes and using them to upgrade to seasonal passes later on! I'm glad the CM suggested that to you. So there really IS a way for APers/SPers to take advantage of the dining plan!
Hope you guys enjoy the dining plan, your dining choices sound delicious to me!

I did this last year (twice!) and will do it this year (twice!) -- A one day ticket is nothing for all the FREE DINING!!! Gotta love it!!

Congrats to you! I am so glad that you are getting to get the free dining. It's definately worth the one day ticket for each. Especially since you will be able to use that to get your next SP. You ADr's look great!
