Re: Has anyone tried this??

I haven't but I do have the Passporter, UnOfficial Guide, WDW w/ Toddlers, The Idiot's Guide to WDW, etc.. I know that I have spent at least $15.00 - $20.00+ per book. I don't see how purchasing this book can hurt anything. Even if it saves you $50.00 it's still worth checking out.....

Re: Has anyone tried this??

There is never a better reason to look for ways to save money on a trip to WDW.

Unless, of course, your are independantly wealthy.

There are a number of books to assist you with this, but I don't know about this exact one..

The Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide
I did buy it.... If you have bought some of the other books then I say you dont need to buy it. The only thing that I found of great value explaining the DVC points and how to go about renting them. That is what we did for our extended family and us and it did save us a lot. We are staying at the Boardwalk Inn Villas for the same price we can stay at a value resort. Other than that there is not anything NEW but helpful. If you have been to WDW before then I dont think that you will want to get this book but if you have never been and you dont have any books yet then yes I think it would be worth the 20 bucks.

If you want to know about something let me know and I will tell you what it says. Really though, if you are on here for any amount of time then you wont need the book

Birnbaum puts together great books on Disney. I bought one -after- getting home from Disney when I went to my first (and so far only) trip, when I saw it on sale. I bought a newer copy a few years later. I still have them both, and -love- them.

Thanks for the info. I guess that was really my question, "is there anything in there that I wouldn't know as an avid reader of Mousebuzz, or a veteran WDW goer?" And, you've pretty much answered for me. I'll save my 20 bucks and get a couple lapu lapus on my next trip!

Save the $20. Unless you are just looking for reading material, there isn't anything that book has that someone on here doesn't know..lol Personally, I think the Unofficial Guide to WDW is the best guide book there is and it has many little tricks to help you save a buck or two...even still nothing in that book that someone on here doens't know.

Re: Has anyone tried this??

I agree with sticking with the Unofficial Guide. Also, Mousesavers.com is a great website for saving money as well!

Re: Has anyone tried this??

I have found that there is usually nothing in those books that you cannot find online on websites like this and mousesavers. Although I must admit, I did buy the unofficial guide.

Re: Has anyone tried this??

I buy a new Unofficial Guide every single year! I usually loan out the current one (without getting it back ) so it gives me my excuse to get a new one from Amazon- it's really pretty inexpensive.

If anybody else needs this info there are lots of DVC members on this site that will be able to assist. Me included.
