We were thinking the same thing. If it runs the same to buy the package with the free dining as it would to pay for the tickets and the ddp with the DVC reservation than we might go with paying for the free dining package. It wouldn't be a total wash as we'd bank our points and have double the points for the following year.

Someone else posted somewhere that they spoke with a CM at Disney Dining that said YES it will be offered sometime in March.

I believe when the 2006 free DDP offer came out it was late March or early April so maybe they'll release it around the same time.

but what I am curious about is for those that get the plan at that time frame- was it too crowded and lacking in reservations? Also it was a very hot time of the year to go- Im not sure if the heat mixed with crowds would make it worth the dining... food for thought (get it? food?)

We went in that time frame with free dining. It was very hot, but manageable. I didn't think the free dining made any difference with crowds or getting into any restaurants. Ironically, we made ADR's at Rose and Crown, waited an hour past our time, was told it would be another 30 to 45 minutes, cancelled and walked right into Boma with no waiting. So, didn't do any ADR's the rest of the time, just walked into whatever restuarant we wanted at the time. Never waited more than 10 minutes.

I dont know what discount we got b/c my wife did everything last year,but we got a $400 discount last December. Hopefully it shows up again in '07.

Free dining is the best...if DH and I get to go to WDW next Fall like we want to, it will pretty much all be dependent on DDP!
