Disney Visa/ Rewards Question

Ok, maybe I"m the only one that checks my online account so much. I'm just curious about my Rewards, and what I have right now. My acct was supposed to close on the 12th (saturday). So, today is Wednesday, and it's still showing last months statement and rewards:( I thought maybe it would take a day or two update it to this months acct, but now it's been 3 business day. Am I just being too impatient?? I dont check my other credit cards so carefully, so I'm not sure if it normally is this way.

Actually, I check my account every couple of days, just to make sure that the charges that I made show up correctly, and that other charges don't show up that I didn't make.

I looked through the agreement, and couldn't find anywhere where it stated how long it would take for them to post. I know that with my first statement, it took about a week or so after the end of the period for it to post online. It was the same day that I received the statement, so I would give it a couple of days.

I'm confused by the question - you have a new account that you just closed?

I had an issue with a pending charge - I charged my airfare on my Disney Visa, but Orbitz sent it through as four separate charges instead of one major one. So, it sat in Pending Charges for a week. Called Customer Service who informed me that the hold pending charges open for one week for a match-up. Do you have anything under Pending Charges that hasn't cleared yet?

I too check my account on a regular basis. Actually daily. My other credit card list both peding charges and actual charges. Disney card only lists your actual charges, but not pending. It only lists the total amount of pending. I don't like this. It is hard to tell if someone has used your card before it posts.
On my other card, I had a frauduent charge that I caught before it posted. By listing the pending charge, it saved me.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Is there a way to see your pending charges itemized?

Sorry, I know I can be confusing!! :dazed

I didn't close the Disney Visa account. I was just wondering when one statement period ends and the next begins...how long does it take to show up on our account status page online. I noticed it takes a few days for any payments I"ve sent in to show up, but it seems to be only updating the rewards once during a statement period. And my statement ended 4/12, and it has not been updated yet.

rlander, I've noticed that too, about the pending charges. My bank accounts (that I check almost everyday) *just* started listing the pending charges, and I find this very usefull. Maybe they will start this w/the Disney Visa eventually? I sure hope so!

Thanks Mickey, I'll just be patient  and wait a few more days! :D

OIC...

First, pending charges - it is not itemized. My beef with the system too. It also takes one week to clear a pending charge.

Goofygirl - I think I remember reading somewhere that rewards are credited at the end of your statement period. I can't find it now... :p Also, for me at least, everythign I've done has shown up immediately - I do online transfers and the payment shows next time I refresh my browser. The money leaves my bank within 48 hours and the credit is applied. I haven't received a statement yet though, would love to see this all in writing.

I was very frustrated finding out I need $20 in Disney Dream dollars before I can get a reward card cut... grr....

I haven't had any problems getting into my account. Been in a couple times today. Just having a problem w/it not being updated right away. Hope you can get in soon. Whenever I have problems, they tell me to delet any "cookies" that have to do with what you are trying to get into. Good luck!

Yep, rewards ARE only updated once per statement. Every reward card I have had does it that way. They wait to take into consideration credits, etc. Also, I had problems getting into the system this morning. Haven't tried yet this afternoon.

If anyone is interested, I DID just sign on & got around with no problems. They must have been having some technical problems.
