Re: AP's are cheaper for us than MYW tickets!

OK, so if I've got this right.... I would want to book a room with the dining plan; then I could use my AP for a room discount if one becomes available.

For the record, I didn't want to use the "free dining" as well as the room discount; but rather I wanted to be able to pay for the dining AND also get a room doscount. So, I CAN do this right?
If so, that's exactlly what I will book. Thanks in advance for the confirmation guys.

Yikes! This thread makes my head hurt a little! So, if you are paying for the DDP you dont have to have park tickets attached, but if you are using free DDP you do?!

I was told by FOUR different CMs this past Monday that I could NOT use a room discount and buy the DP. It was one or the other. It makes the value of the dining plan questionable if your potential room discount is big.

To be sure for your specific dates, call 1-800-828-0228 and confirm with Disney directly.

Its simple, they add it to the room. I checked 38.99 for adults 10.99 kids 10 and under. Must add before you arrive.

Just to be sure I wasn't giving our wrong info, I called again (5th CM that I spoke to)- you can't add the DP to a room ressie that has a discount. To purchase the DP, your room rate will be adjusted to rack rate.

Re: AP's are cheaper for us than MYW tickets!

Having the annual pass AND living only 200 miles south I've spent more days in WDW just in this renewal period (6 months) than I have in some 2 and three year periods. The down side, especially with gas going back through $3.00 a gallon, I probably spend as much in gas and tolls as I would for a single day ticket. Tolls are $24 and I use about 20 gallons of gas.
