We are not big shoppers, but we do like to do the extra stuff, Surrey Bikes, Water Mice, Pins, etc. For our family of 5 we budget $200 a day if we are on the DDP. If not, then we would need about twice that amount.

I think you'll be fine with $500 since it’s the two of you and you're on the dining plan. Stash an extra $100 away in your bag just for incidentals or if you want that giant stuffed Mickey.

What I have done with my DS (who is 4 1/2) is give him disney dollars for his chores. It is amazing how much he helps now etc. I have a limit of 25.00 per day for him to spend. If there is something that is a big amount then he will have to save his money from that day to buy it another day. My sisters two kids are also going and we decided that we would give them all 25.00 a day plus by them all one T-shirt.
We are on the DDP as well, I plan to take an extra 100.00 a day for snacks, cokes, ect. for the three of us and then 150.00 for spending. I know there is no way that we will spend a 150.00 a day on stuff but I will for sure have to contain myself in the scrapbooking store. I could easily spend a thousand bucks in there. |

I think that you will be just fine with that amount of money... Seeing as how you are on the DDP makes it alot easier.
I always wonder if im bringing enough money or tooooo much etc but then DH tells me hey DW isnt going anywhere, we are going to go back, and if its something that I didnt get while I was there and think that it might not be there when we go back I call disney and order it over the phone and have it shipped to me.

A good deed never goes unrewarded. So because you helped out a friend God opened a way for you to be repaid a little for doing a good thing.
You will be fine with what you have. We've noticed with each time we go we spend less on souveniers. On a side note: CAN YOU BELIEVE WE WILL BE IN WDW IN A WEEK??? We are going to be there at the same time! |
