Icon5 Pleasure Island (How much spending money)?

Hey All

My wife and I have a whole evening set a side for "Pleasure Island".
We have the tickets to get in already. How much should we plan on
setting aside for the clubs? Drinks? Ect.?

Thanks!

Re: Pleasure Island (How much spending money)?

I will add that the drinks are pretty expensive in Pleasure Island. I think I remember having a couple drinks at 8tracks and they were $8-$10 per drink. You won't have to pay any admission to the clubs, there are a couple nice shops if you spot something you might like to buy, etc. The only other thing I can think of that would cost extra is a late night snack. I remember DH and I split a little personal pizza from a stand there.

So really, all you need to budget money for is how much you plan on drinking, and possibly spoting something at a shop.

PI is a lot of fun. If you have the tickets to get in, then the clubs will not cost you anything. The drinks are expensive, so if you are drinkers, it could get costly. Sharon is not a drinker, and I drink moderately, and the night cost us around $50.00. Even the soda was rather expensive if I remember right.

Re: Pleasure Island (How much spending money)?

I would say set aside about $75 for the night.....drinks, tips and possibly some food. That should cover unless you intend to do shots....then add another $25...lol

Re: Pleasure Island (How much spending money)?

About a zillion years ago, they had a really cool gyroscope that you could strap yourself into and put on huge goggles and then spin around while you look at some cool stuff in the goggles. It was really fun and memorable. But it was really $$$$$. I don't know what they have to do in the streets these days, but if they do have stuff like the gyroscope, then you might want to bring some extra money to give it a try.

Re: Pleasure Island (How much spending money)?

I know when I head down I usually budget myself for $100 day. While some days I spend nothing and others I spend a lot I like keep some extra cash on hand. With the dinning plan I spent almost no money at all down in Disney. I was my GF who is not a drinker at all so if I had a few drinks a night it was a lot. No more than $25 - $30 a night for the two of us.

Two years I headed down and spent pretty much no money during the day but ended up going over $100 alomost everynight at PI. I was with my buddy who is a big drinker, one night we ran up a tab over $300 at 8trax alone. Plus at the time I was a smoker so inbetween I would head over to the places that sold booze outside of the clubs/bars and get a beer to get some fresh air.

This time when I head down with my two friends Im going to give myself $100 a day for everything. If I go over it then thats it for that day/night. If I go under than it gets overflowed in to the next days $100.

I always end up with money when I go home. With the dinning plan I feel like the only thing I buy is drinks at PI aside from a few other small items throughout the day.

Plan to spend $6-$8 per drink on avg, depending what you like, I like screwdrivers. What day of the week are you going? If you can go on a Fri or Sat night, it is usually busy, I know they use to do Tues/Thurs cast member nights which made it busy.
