Don't want to cancel DDP I have my ADRs for places like CRT and HDDR.

As far as I know you can upgrade the ticket at anytime! In July, my Mom had one day left on her hopper . . . we bought the no exp and they told her she can upgrade the ticket to a 2-? day when she returned . . . I even think you can use single days, and then upgrade remaining days to park hoppers (but you pay the fee for all day, not just the ones that are left!) Hope I am making sense?

You could knock of a day on each ticket, and then use that day to go and see all the holiday decorations at the different hotels . . . hit the pool, DTD, etc.

And even if you don't have hoppers, you can always do the park in the am, leave/rest/whatever, and then go back to that SAME park at night?

Yes, Mom had one day left on her 3 day hopper and we had to pay the $5/day to upgrade to no exp . . . $15 is a lot less then $72 for the day though!!

Call Disney, they will explain . . . plus they may have tips for saving you $$$ . . . they have little deals come up all the time!!

Once I was on the phone making a reservation, and I was uming and ahing about which hotel cuz of cost, and the CM said wait wait I just got a deal, CS for only $78/night . . . and this was a WEEK before Xmas . . . turned out they had just had a HUGE conference cancel . . . so you NEVER know!!?!??!

That is true, but you can cancel up to 48 hours ahead of your ADR without your credit card being debited. So, I wouldn't touch the ADRs at all until that time. Cancel the plan and you can add it back on up to 5 days ahead of your arrival date.

You may be right. Book only the most basic tickets, you can always add on extras while you're there.

Did you check to see if there was a discount code available?

Drop the park hopping for a great savings, it's expensive. Just make sure if you have an ADR in a park, that you visit that park that day. You can always leave a park and come back to the same park on the same day.


Dropping the DDP for now and adding it later could work too.

As for the 45 day deadline, last year we were almost two weeks late with our final $600 payment and I called disney ressies every few days to let them know I was paying on such and such date. They were fine with that. I was told they don't cancel the reservation until 14 days after the date but you might want to confirm that if you think an extra two weeks will help you with that final $500.

I would reduce the tickets for now to a 1 day base ticket. Then upon arrival upgrade to what ever you need. I did that last year. To book a package you have to buy a minimum 1 day pass. This works great especialy if you are using the Disney Visa. Then you have another 6 months to pay for the tickets. I went from a 4 day MYWPH to a 10 MYWPH w/ no expiration and took 6 months to pay.
