we have a package set up 12/18-26th

7 day hopper, DDP at POR.
2 adults 4 kids and one is a baby

I need to temporarly reduce the cost of my package due to our income dropping 400$ a month. Thats the day care business and the joy of getting rubber checks!

anyhow, I want to reduce the cost of my package its due to be paid in full by 11/4 .I know I can get all of it BUT NOT by then I want to drop it by about 500$. What would you suggest I do with my passes to get my cost down until a couple weeks before we leave??

kids are 11,8,5,and 2 plus us 2 adults ( kids at heart).

You could drop the DDP until a couple of weeks before and then add it back in. As long as that is possible with the type of package you are buying...and that the DDP isn't subject to availability.

i don't necessarily know what you could do w/ your passes to drive down the cost. the only thing i can think of is to switch your resort to a value. the only downside to that would be that if you were to try to change the resort back to POR when your vacation time gets close, the availability might not be there. this is a tough one

What about taking the hopper off the package and bring the tickets down to 6 days... spend one day in DTD and at the resort.

When I get there or when its about a week before the trip can I add the hopper on again if I want?? what kind of penalty will there be if any??



Don't want to cancel DDP I have my ADRs for places like CRT and HDDR.

I don't think there is... why don't you check with WDW, they should know.

I know you can add a day or two when you get there and they charge you the difference, I think.

I'm confused Wouldn't you be adding the DDP back on closer to your departure trip anyway? I know that you have ADRs...but wouldn't you be able to keep them even if you don't have the DDP on your booking? They aren't tied to each other, right? I mean...I never get the DDP and make ADRs all the time.

I am refering to the fact the secure with a credit card for CRT and those places. if i cancel.... my credit card will get charged and I don't want it charged when I am using the plan.

I had a similar problem this summer!! I do day care too and had a drop in my income for a while!!
I canceled my DDP until 1 and a half weeks before, I kept all of my adrs, you do not have to cancel them even if you do not have the dining plan!!
Then the Friday a week before we went we added the DDP back with a $10 penalty!! Worked perfect!!

They don't even know if you cancel, they have it marked as DDP and It won't charge until the date if your adr's are marked with the DDP..Promise!!!

considering we are going at Xmas will there be much opportunity for us to hop from park to park?? I wondered if the parks are to crowded to bounce from park to park and if its more hassel then its worth. I like the idea but wonder if its really practical or not?
