The Disney Visa card, in my opinion, is worth it only if you don't carry a balance over to the next month and therefore not accuring any interest. Then all the points you earn are to your benefit.

I would say that goes for any rewards card. It makes no sense to carry a balance, pay interest and then expect that "reward".
All of my household expenses get paid for with my Disney Visa and then paid off when the bill shows up in my email. And I rack up the points

I enrolled! Thanks for posting the phone #. I have plane tickets to purchase for our August trip, and we'll have two Disney trips during the promotion. I'll be racking up the 5x points!

Just talked to Disney Rewards card and the 5x rewards are only for gasoline and groceries.
Gasoline must be purchased at the pump and groceries must be purchased at a grocery store (Jewel or Albertson for example) NOT Wal-Mart or K-Mart. 100 Reward Points maximum and will be posted 6 to 8 weeks later. Minimum 250 dollar purchase per month.

I got the same offer. Only I would get 5x reward points for anything I spend OVER $100. I rarely use it, but anything I get as a bonus will be great.

Anyone who gets this offer should ALWAYS sign up for it. It is FREE to sign up with the special number you get on the card. I can never understand why people do not sign up its free and whatever you happen to charge over the initial $100 charged is valid for the extra points. So if you sign up and happen to get extra points you win and if you do not charge enough you do not loose anything either so if you have the VISA why would you not sign up for this? It is a win/win? And the count all your charges retro back to the original date you were selected for so if you sign up late they go back and add up all the charges since the first day of the promo.

My offer says gas, groceries, travel/air.

Sign up something is better then nothing?

I have a questions: those of you who received the offer, do you use your Dis Visa on a regular basis?

I use mine all the time for my business. I pay on time - in full - and have a high credit limit. I've never received the offer so I called. I was told that I wasn't eligible, it's based on credit limit and charging patterns.

I was wondering if I can't enroll b/c I already use the card alot and maybe they are offering it to people who don't use it often in the hopes that now they will.

I am pretty mad about it since I would love to get 5x's too!!!!!!!!

This is an interesting thread. I was told something different than other people. Some people have said they don't qualify. The thinking that they are trying to get people to use the card doesn't seem to apply because I have been charging $2000 to $3000 a month on the card for just about everything I can think of for at least 3 years.

hmmm....me too - that's upsetting that they will offer it to some cardholders and not others. Maybe I'll call again and not be as nice as I was before
