If you're hooked on the Deluxes, points are probably the way to go, but with 8 ppl and 12 days you're going to pay dearly.

Two (adjoining or not) rooms at a moderate (like POFQ/RS or CBR) or at a value (like Pop) would give you room for 8 and probably more square feet than any suite. This will be hundreds of dollars less.

Buy an annual pass and get the AP discount rates. You could get by for $1000-$1800. (You might even go with three rooms cheaper than a suite in a Deluxe). It's all in your preference.
