Re: How would you spend $500?

How about renting a captain and a boat for a fishing excursion, or renting a boat to view the parade? My dh and ds9 and ds5 went on the fishing trip and loved it, while my dd7 and I went to the Princess Tea at the GF, on Christmas Eve no less. It was marvelous.
Just a thought.

Re: How would you spend $500?

I would not want to nickel and dime it away, I would want to do something big. I would do either the Wishes or the Illuminations Fireworks cruise.

Also, Cirque de Soleil - La Nouba was an outstanding show!

I think that it is a great idea to use some of it to get your wife a spa treatment and i bet she would like the idea even better, lol

I would do something special with it too. I think a tour would be a good way to spend it. Anything with the boats would be cool. Have you checked out the Breathless?

Re: How would you spend $500?

A spa treatment is a good idea. I like the Saratoga Springs spa better than the GF spa.

But I like the idea of a special souvenir better though. Whenever I have "found" money, I like to use it for something that I wouldn't normally get or normally wouldn't buy.

Wonder how much they want for that glass slipper in the new suite in Cindy's Castle???
They have a couples massage package at the GF. It's about $450.00 out of my memory for the deluxe package. Now that would be very romantic. You could put your kids in the daycare for 2 hours while you go. If you don't want to spend that much, you can customize your package to a lesser budget...another idea is you could buy your wife a charm braclet with one or two charms on it. Then every visit to WDW you could get one more charm. I don't know of any woman that wouldn't like the memories that go with each charm!

Seriously? DO the spa thing at SSR.

Re: How would you spend $500?

Great ideas. I think buying that special souvenir/art or the boat ride to watch the fireworks would really make this visit extra special. Of course, I haven't ruled out just giving it all to Boss Mouse yet. Hard to argue with logic like that.

I vote for the spa. That's what I'd most enjoy!

OH YES!!!!!

Something from the Art Of Disney at Epcot! A wonderful statue, maquette, or painting! Then have it shipped home so it will be there waiting for you when you get back!!

Re: How would you spend $500?

I would just charge to the room and then pay for it with the card - whatever is left I would get a family souvenier. I'd rather have everything paid off and then you can relax and not think about how many of those Mickey ice creams you can buy

Re: How would you spend $500?

We use our Disney Rewards points for the kids' spending money, they each usually get a$50 card to spend on whatever they want. If you go to Typhoon Lagoon you can do a 30 minute snorkle in Shark Reef, I think it was $30 a person or how about a dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table if you haven't already booked it.
