Disney Dream Rewards Dollars

I was wondering if anyone had redeemed any of their Disney Visa Dream Rewards Dollars yet? I am curious as to how far in advance I should try to redeem mine to make sure I get them in time for my trip in November! Thanks!

I got mine for my trip last month. I think I was told it would take up to 3 weeks to get them. I had them in 5 days. They looked so good I hated to spend them!!

Thanks, Disney Teacher! Have you already spent some? Will they accept them anywhere? And what happens if you are purchasing something for less than the denomination of the rewards dollars? Do they give you cash back or a credit or something? Sorry for all the questions!

:hmmm We are saving ours up til we have $200 or so. We currently have $27. How many are others cashing in? Considering that the cards have not been out that long, I couldn't imagine more than $40 or $50 at the most right now.

I spent mine at the Emporium but I think you can spend them just about everywhere. You need to make sure that you buy at least $10 worth of stuff because you will not get cash back of credit. Have fun!!! I already have more points built up because of my trip, I put all of our hotel charges on my Disney Visa.

I too have a question-can you request the dollars, then if you stay in a disney hotel, charge everything to your room and then apply the dollars to your room?:dazed

Staying at the hotel and applying dollars - yes, you can.

How long did they take to get - about four to five days from when I ordered. We placed two orders and got them both within the week.

How many did we bring - $70. BUT, we prepaid our room, and I paid my surgery co-payment with it. DH just put the down payment to his car on it. We always pay things off by the end of the billing cycle. We no likey interest. :D

Where did we spend - At CRT for breakfast (and they gave the server the difference as part of the tip), at the shop in the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and at one of the shops.

DT, weren't they gorgeous??!! DH thought I was nuts when I said I wanted to put them in my scrapbook! LOLOL!

Yes they were!! They were so much more than I expected, I was thinking along the lines of Disney Dollars. Now that I think about it I should have taken a picture of one to post here, I haven't seen one on here yet.

I thought long and hard about saving one, it took me right up until the end of the week for me to finally spend them. Had they come in $5.00 cards I would have kept one, but $10.00 was too hard for me to not spend. (Plus I knew I have more points for more Reward Dollars so I will being seeing more of them in the future.) My current points are good through /to 2008 so I will have plenty more to enjoy.

We got ours last week and they also came in 5 days. I have about $20 more dollars to redeem. I will order them tomorrow with the hopes they will arrive before we leave.

Mickeymac and Disneyteacher.....they are BEAUTIFUL. I also was thinking they would look like Disney Dollars. The are almost royal. I wonder if they look different if you request them for DL or the DisneyStore. Ours are red and gold. So shiney!!!:D

I am at around 170.00 rewards dollars right now. Hope to have at least enough for a park hopper or two by next May.

I am saving for our trip in Oct of 2006! We are putting everything that is possible on the card and then paying it off each month. I am hoping for close to 750 dollars by the time we go!

I'm going to save mine until next year or the year after. We don't use this credit card as our main card, we use AMEX DOUBLE REWARDS GOLD and AMEX Preferred Guest...we get lots of points which go towards our airfare!!! We went to Paradise Island in May and our tickets were almost $600 each and we didn't have to pay a penny! THAT FELT GREAT!!! And with AMEX Gold, you have to pay IN FULL each month, which is better for us. ;)
