Suprises for kids?

Ok I know I have a little while to go before my trip but I would like to pick up a little things here and there for suprises for the kids when we get there. Nothing extravagent but still fun for them.

In the past what have you guys done for the kids?

I have only picked up two Nemo washclothes. I know it is sad.

I have been so busy with the PS that I have forgotten about this little area. Plus if I do it now a little at a time then it wont hurt the budget so bad.

Any IDEAS

I bought my kids disney autograph books and thick pens also stickers with their names on it so they could decorate them on the plane (I bought the books from gifts of a lifetime and they are all the same) I thought the kids could decorate them 1) to give them something to do, 2) so I could tell them apart when and if they need them in a hurry!
I also bought them a disposable digital camera (Kodak makes it and it comes with a disc with developing)

Enjoy shopping!! and planning too, cuz We're going to disney, we're going to disney!!!!!!!:)

We are staying at the BC concierge and I'm having them prepare a welcome basket for my DS's it contain Pal Mickey, new autograph books, Epcot Passports and Penny Press books. Gifts of a Lifetime also sell a similair basket I think their has mouse ears too.

I think that a good suprise would be to not do something that annoys him. For instance, when I got to go to disney with my mother, she agreed as a special favor to me to not call me "pookey" in public places. That, by far, was the best gift shes ever given me.

At first it started very small as most dreams do.
A twinkle in an eye, the thrill of something new.
But then the dream began to grow and come alive.
Touching every one of us, lighting up the sky.
We share a magic day, we share enchanted nights
It's a neverending story and together we all find
It's been a part of me, it's been a part of you.
A part of growing up together
Sharing a dream come true.

Here are some of my favorite ideas:

1) Pajamas (I think you can still get the summer jammies from Disneystore.com for around $5.00 -- at least I did about 2 weeks ago...)

2) Yo-Yo's. My kids love these....you can find Mickey or Minnie ones at Walmart or Target.

3) Disney Beanie Babies....the Disney store has them on sale and clearance all the time. (My sister just bought some at the Disney Store last week for $1.50 each!!) Disneystore.com has them, too....I'm not sure of the price though.

4) How about a Disney beach/bath towel for each child. They are coming down on the price since summer is nearly over. Last year when we bought ours, they were like $8/each!

5) WalMart has small boxes of puzzles. They have like 30 pieces. Some Pooh, Mickey, and some non-disney (*gasp*). They are about $3.00 for each puzzle.

6) "Glowing" necklaces. You can pick these up a WalMart or Target and "snap" them on at dusk. My kids love these glowing things and don't ask for the $10 ones in the parks!

Every night when we would come back to the room, our kids would have a present from "Mickey" on their bed waiting for them. They were so excited!!

Also, if you stop by a WalMart in the Orlando area, they have autograph books...really cute ones that have a spiral at the top and Disney characters on the front. We bought our daughters there for $2.50. They sell quite a bit of disney-themed items at the orlando walmarts that I cannot find at the others.

When we went in June, I ordered guest of honor badges from Gifts of a Lifetime and a postcard from Mickey for my 2 sons, 3 & 6. They came together in a box about 2 weeks before our trip and the boys were so excited that Mickey had sent them the name badges and a postcard. While at the prks, several CMs called them by name and the characters signed their autograph books to the boys.

I just came back from lunch & a stop at the Dollar Tree. I bought Sandy Lion Disney stickers for $1 each. There are 2 sheets in a package. I also bought Disney Pez dispensers for $1.

I used to have some of those Disney Pez Dispensers when I was younger, the candy is completely LOADED with sugar. But since it will be a Disney sugar rush I think that that would make it acceptable.
