Disney Visa's Rewards ??

I have built up a good amount of rewards dollars.

Can they be used towards a package ??

Or for food while in Disney?

Looking at the site it makes it look like they are only good for purchases at the Disney Store.

Thanks in advance!!

AFAIK, they can be spent as freely as 'real' money anywhere at WDW. We're planning on using ours for food, tours, etc. I hope that I'm right or it's time for more financial planning.

Hi Buzz,
When I requested ours, they asked me if I was going to use them at WDW, DL or the DisneyStore. I presume the ones they send you can be used at the place you requested. I am pretty certain that is what they said on the certificate. Remember you will not be given cash for change when you use them, so make sure you go over the $$$ amount. I used my reward dollars to purchase a snowglobe to add to my collection and ended up paying only like $3 for it. So, in my mind it was free!!!

Also, I ordered $60 more right before we left and they came in about 4 days. they tell you about 10 days, but ours came much sooner.

If you get WDW $10 certificates, you can use them on anything at Disney World.

Same is true for DL certificates and the DisneyStore cards. Good only at location ordered for.

I ordered some at the beginning of August and it took almost a month to get here as they were sold out! I was kind of bummed since I wanted to use them. This last order we placed, they took almost two weeks. My cutoff is any day now and I need to order more; it's going to be interesting to see how long they take.

Yes, I just noticed in the last couple of days that there is now an option to pay online with Disney Reward Dollars through the Disneyworld booking systems. You can also pay with them through a travel agent, or by calling WDWTC.

Though, you may just want to pay the package using a credit card, and save the Reward Dollars for meals or special souvenirs.

Whoa, Mickeymac! That would have really bummed me out, too! The first time I ordered them they came in four days, so I was banking on them coming that quickly the second time! Ironically, I ordered them around the beginning of August as well!!!:hmmm

Can you explain the credit card rewards. You use your card and for every $100.00 you spend you get a $1 is that right.

You got it. One reward dollar for every $100 you charge.

ArielBelle - maybe I ordered right after you and you wiped them out... (it was weird seeing "sold out" under the WDW category) LOL!

WOW!!!!!!!
I would rather have the disney club wouldn't you. Every time I turn around they are cutting something that people like. I really have enjoyed the disney club and now it is going away. I remember when the disney club was free through my work and then you had to pay for it and now it is gone. WHAT ELSE to save a buck. Has anyone thought into the future when your kids are grown and wonder how much it will be to get into the parks!!!!!! I remember back in 1984 I went to WDW and it was only around $17.00 to get in. Can you image what my kids will pay when they are grown!!!!! My kids are 9 and 5. It is ridiculous.
Just had to voice my opinions.

Jessie,I know what you mean. I'm so glad I'm an AP'er now,so I don't have to worry too much about how much it costs to get into the parks .

Yes, just order the certificates for WDW, and they are good for the cruise line as well. While you can't use them on the ship, you can pay your bill with them.

This rewards certificate may be redeemed only toward select merchandise, recreation, lodging, food, beverages and Walt Disney World® admission tickets at participating locations at the Walt Disney World® Resort and on Disney Cruise Line® ships.

My DH and I are not big on credit cards but I was really thinking of getting one of these. Does it take a long time to get any rewards. I wish we had put our FTP on one!
