Is there a store at POR where you can buy a few basic food items such as quarts of milk, cans of soda, butter, snacks, etc.?

Yes there is. In the Generalill store right beside the reception area. They have milk and bread and sandwich meats plus soda, beer and candy bars. They also have chips and doughnuts. Water is also avaliable. But if you have your own vehicle you can run down to Gooding at the Cross Road Shopping center for most anything. The boat ride down to DTD allow you to stop in the Deli store down there for snack and cookies.
