December discount
I guess a December discount for a room only booking is not looking good. I'm not an AP or a FL resident. I'm still waiting and hoping. Do you think there's a chance it will happen?

I think the winter dream package is package deal only. I dont think you can book room only with that paticular discount. I would definately try expedia too. It can't hurt to try.

I had the same problem. I've been waiting 9 months for the room only codes for this Dec. Just my luck that for the month I'm going, there aren't going to be any room only codes. I planning my trip through Mickey with Mouseketrips and he explained that there is less than a 25% chance that there will be room only codes released. I asked him what was the best way I can save money for this trip and he explained that the Winter Dream Maker Package would be my best bet. So, I told him to go ahead and make the reservation. Contact Mickey, he will be glad to help!!

Your best bet is the WDM Package through Disney. You have the option of cancelling with no penalty (up to a certain point), if room only discounts come out in a few weeks. :)

Another thread mentions a good package deal from Expedia, so I took a peek there for room only rates.
I have a Winter Dream booked for Jan. at the Beach Club at $1507 for 4 nights with a water view. A decent deal I believe. However, Expedia is showing a room rate at that time of $219+tax. If I took that rate ($1013 total), and substituted PH passes for the included UPH, I'd probably save some $$. It's almost like they took the Winter Dream package, subtracted the cost of the passes, derived a room only rate. I'm confused. More research to be done!:hmmm
