Where to Book a WDW Vacation

Hi All:

It's our first visit to WDW in late May. There are so many options for booking your vacation to WDW. There's the local travel agent, Internet providers (Expedia, etc.), WDW travel, Disney travel consultants(like those associated with this website), etc.... So many options. Could you "weigh in" on your experiences based on price and service. We need air and a hotel on site.

Thanks a bunch.

There are many options for you to consider. Mouseketrips our wonderful host's (mickey) travel agent is sure to save you every penny they can get you. If not, you can book it yourself (big time hassle) or you can call WDW and let them book you a package. The package will no doubt include an Ultimate Park Hopper. This is great if you intend to use the water parks, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest and the Sports complex. If you only intend to stay within the four major theme parks, you may not want to opt for this kind of pass. If this is the case, book your airfare, passes and resort seperately and you will save some money. I always opt for someone else to do these things for me, because I just don't want the hassle. Send Mickey, the admistrator of DC, a email and see what he can come up with for you. It wouldn't hurt to do a little research on WDW with package figures to get an idea of what they would charge you too. Plan away. Please let me know how you make out. I am certain that Mickey will do a wonderful job for you and get you the best possible price. He has helped many travelers plan their WDW vacations. That's his specialty. I wish I remembered that when I started planning my upcoming one. I hope this infomation helps you in some way. I am certain thaere are other DC members who may have other suggestions for you. Listen to what everyone has to say and choose from there. This site is great that way. Everyone has their own planning techniques and they all work. You just need to choose what's good for you. Have fun with it.

I highly reccommend the Passporter Guide for all WDW trips. It's an asset to any WDW vacation that will keep you organized from the day you start your planning to the day you come home from your trip. Anotehr excellent guide is the Unofficial Guide to WDW and of course Birbaum's official guide is nice to look at too. These are essential to me every trip and I have been there many times. Good luck!:)

BTW:Welcome to Disney Central! :) :)

Dana is right. It all depends on how much actual planning you want to do. If you want to save money then you need to shop around and you will likely find that booking it yourself will save you some cash. However, if this is your first trip then you may feel more comfortable booking through an agent. Since you are staying on property, it will not make a difference how you book as far as the quality of your vacation. Just remember to get your PS (priority seatings) for the restuarants you wish to visit 90 days in advance by calling 1-407-wdw-dine. Also check out www.allearsnet.com for a complete breakdown of onsite hotels and all restuarant menus. Oh and one last thing, like Dana said, don't forget to buy a Passporter online or at your local bookstore. It is great.

How exciting, your first trip to WDW!! How many days do you plan on staying? Have you decided whether or not you are going to stay on site?

I would recommend using www.mouseketrips.com, also because if discount codes come out or there is a way to save money, Mickey will handle it all for you!
