Entertainment Book Savings

OK, there are a few threads out there with the Entertainment Book mentioned, but they don't really say much. Everyone just posts links to the Entertainment page.

I want to hear stories... whose used the book? What kind of deals did you use or hope to use in the future? Is the book a better deal versus regular coupons, codes, and packages?

Now that Disney Club is gone I need other alternatives. Connections is one, I have a Disney Visa, but I need more. :laugh

I bought the Orlando Entertainment Book when I purchased the book for my state (yes..my state is that small!) Lots of great coupons. Not really anything for WDW specifically, except for $5 off at Planet Hollywood.

Well, I'm curious about Orlando discounts in general, not just WDW.

:D

WDWspider we were able to get a pretty good deal on our rental car from the entertainment book. However, as far as deals for the orlando area it seems that ours had some, but not enough to make me purchase the book for that purpose. We purchased the Columbus, OH edition not the Orlando edition. The coupons were offered in the national area of the book. We found the same or better deals while in Orlando. Most of the parks have coupons, but normally cheaper if you buy before going to the gate and our coupons were stand alone meaning you could not use them on a pre-purchase situation.

Just in case you didn't know....you can join entertainment's online savings club. It's exactly like the book, but, you print the coupons from your computer instead of tearing them from the book. It is only 3.99 per month and they offer a trial 30 day membership free. You can log onto their website and check out everything that they offer before you decide whether or not you want to purchase anything. They offer A LOT of off site, buy 1 get one free entrees (lunch and dinner) to some pretty nice restaurants everywhere in the Orlando area. They also offer discounts on many other things...you can browse thru all of their offers from their website. I was planning on purchasing the 20.00 book before our May vacation..but, have since decided to just print the coupons out at home. Good luck & hope this info was of use to someone!

I believe I will buy a local book for 2004 and try it out. Hopefully I can get enough local discounts that I will be fine if I don't use any in Orlando.

I'd wait if your not going till later in the year you'll be able to pick up the orlando book for half off around Sept/Oct when the new books come out. The books is good from Aug of one year to the following Dec of the next year. Check it out on Mousesaver.com.
We used to buy one ever year but lately our area hasn't offered good discounts on things we use - it all a personal perference.
