Disney Dining Card

Just wondering if anyone else here has used the discount dining card. We bought it when we got our APs last July, paid $70, and get 15% off meals at most sit-down restaurants. We've saved over $100 so far. Hopefully we'll have more chances to use it before it expires this July.

I wish I knew about that when I booked my trip. Is that for AP's only or is it available to anyone?

I apologize for not checking further before posting. I just tried to check on disneyworld.com, but it seems they're not advertising it anymore, so I called the number on the card. They're only offering the Disney Dining Experience to FL residents. You don't have to be AP holders tho.

For more info the phone # is 407-566-5858

The Disney Dining Card has always been for FL residents only. And the discount for dining at participating restaurants is 20%. It is a very good deal. Having an AP gets you a slight discount on the purchase price for the Dining Card.

How do FL residents get the dining card? Where can it be used?

Thanks!

As posted by Catfish above, the phone # is 407-566-5858. Call that number and ask for the Disney Dining application. You must provide a FL driver's license number on the application. The card is mailed to you after they approve the application, so allow time for this procedure.

Restaurants include just about every table service restaurant in WDW, along with the food courts in the value resorts.

It's too bad they don't count Disney Vacation Club ownership as a Florida resident. We don't get the luxury of meals included in our stay as package guests do and although they do offer discounts on dining, it is at selected locations and for limited amount of time so there's not much variety in that!:)

Are you already a AP holder? APs get many discounts on meals and we have saved a lot of money this year because of it. You also get other discounts, like 1/2 price putt putt golf, etc. AP well worth the price if you plan on going a few times or more.

they can also do the application over the phone and it takes three to four weeks to get it I actually got it in less than two

No, unfortunately I am not an AP holder. I can only go to WDW every other year. Thanks for thinking of me.

Disney's Dining Experience card really is great. Not only do you save 20 percent on food at most table-service restaurants, but the discount also applies to alcoholic beverages. That means you can go to a resort lounge and knock 20 percent off the tab.

Every Christmas holiday season my wife and I make several trips to the parks and resorts just to see the decorations. Part of the tradition includes stopping at each resort lounge and having one of their specialty drinks -- usually some coffee/alcohol concoction -- and the discount really comes in handy.

Other Dining Experience benefits include free valet parking (a $6 savings) at Disney resorts as well as a discount on admission tickets to Pleasure Island.

Does the card get you in the park to eat at the table-service restaurants there? I know the private club members get access to the park so they can eat at the club. A meal at the club of course is very high.

The Disney Dining Card does not get you park admission.
