What was I thinking?? Arrival 4/18/04!!

Where was my head? ::nervous Over the holidays I was so excited to find that Jet Blue was flying out of Boston to Orlando that I booked a stay for my daughter and I to WDW. Leaving the boys behind to take care of the pets we were looking for the best prices and found a departure date of 4/18/04. Well then I found out that all the good prices for resorts on property start with a check in of 4/17! Silly me, I should have checked this site out first, but the excitement of going just took over. Here is my question:

What should I do? If I change flights they will charge me a bunch. If I check in on the 18th I loose the good rates. Do you think they may have new deals for that time frame on the way? Since we are on a budget saving $$$ is important, any advice or thoughts?

Welcome to Disney Central!! You have quite a dilemma here! I guess maybe you could call DW and talk to them and see if they have any suggestions and find out how much it will cost to change the flight. Mickey is an expert on travel to DC, maybe he can help!!:)

Our trip starts the same day. We have booked starting the 17th, but are hoping some low rates will come out for the 18th. At the time we thought we were smart since the 17th is still considered peak season and the 18th is regular season! Since the good deals for the 17th have to be booked by feb 9th, we are hoping some good rates will come out after that. Still holding off on making our flight ressies. We will keep our fingers crossed!! :)

We'll be there from the 12th for a week and a half, and had no choice but to book during the last week of peak - but from what the CM said to me, and also Mouseketrips suggested to me, the deal that is going now is so good that right now it beats the regular price that would be offered after the 18th. Of course, that might change when they announce the next incentive, but as of right now, I wouldn't worry too much about your dates until you know for sure you could get them cheaper, imho.

WOW!!! you have a huge dilemma on your hands... i have never tried this but just try calling disney and see if they will work with you on this since it is is soooooo close to the time that they are running the sale. Also AAA members get a10-15 percent discount or try booking a package with tickets and rooms and they will give a discount there too. Good Luck!!!!
