Your average "Per Diem" spending while at WDW?

Here is another query for you Mouse Chasing Veterans ;)

Not considering your hotel/resort room or park passes, what is the average amount of money you spend Per Day, Per Adult, on food, shows, and other entertainment not covered by park passes?

If you don't mind, please select the appropriate amount in the above poll and give some details in a post.

And yes, I am making a budget :laugh and I am seeing if I would be better off with the dreammaker silver plan with vouchers instead of paying cash myself. :dazed

Gosh we must be cheap, because I had to think on this and only came up with 50-75. We usually eat a quick breakfast, a nice sit down lunch, and a quick dinner.

Hope this helps!

We are a family of 5. DH, me our three sons ages 9, 13 and 16.

I choose 50.00 per person per day. That amkes 250.00 per day for the 5 of us. We budget 30.00 dollars for breakfast, 50.00 dollars for lunch and 150.00 for dinner, and 20.00 dollars for snacks. Sometimes we need that much sometimes we don't. Any extra we bring home goes in the kitty for the next trip. Hope that helps.

Paula

Per adult (we're all adults now!!!) it's ~$80. And we like to eat at least one really nice meal/day & tend to not scrimp on souvenirs. We usually try to go for at least 8 days at a time, but we have gone for 11 days & more. I generally try to have $2000 in "ready cash" for the 3 of us to blow through & not have to thing about it.

If we are doing per family, I have two adults, on 11yo and one 16yo. We would hit 200+ easy!

If we include souveniers, it would be at least $100 over that for the family each day.

I chose $150 - $175. This is very difficult to pin down. We never eat breakfast in the parks, and usually only counterservice for lunch. Most of our money goes on dinners. Rarely do we leave a restaurant without paying at least $100.00, and I wouldn't consider ourselves extravagant. (I'm using an average of 3 adults - one of our kids usually seems to be missing). As for the other $50 to $75 - it just goes. I don't know where....:dazed

I would have to say $75-$90 per day, per Adult. We usually go out to breakfast, have a counter service lunch and a nice sit down dinner. The dinner would include an adult beverage or two. It doesn't always work out that way, but that's what we like to do. I would probably have to add more money in, if you want to include souveniers. However, I don't buy souveniers every single day either.

Well I collect Disney items so whenever I see something new or something I didn't notice I buy it so the total can get up there. I try and budget myself since I do go sometimes times just for a day and I can pick stuff up then. It would be around $150-200 per day with meals and stuff. I eat 3 meals and usually a snack or two during the day and at the park those add up.

I only included food in my vote since the sliver plan doesn't include souvenirs. I picked $50-$75 per adult per day. We grab breakfast in the room most days and eat one counter service meal per day and one sit dowm meal per day. You can get by on $10 for a counter service meal with a drink and that leaves $40-$65 for one sit down meal. Some days we spend more and some days we spend less. I budget $100 per adult per day just to be on the safe side. What I don't spend on food I spend on the gift shops along with the other budgeted money. ;)

It's only me and my DD (10 yrs old), but I budget $250 per day for the both of us. That's meals and fun. I always have enough to get what I want and have a great time. I usually have two sit-down meals and one counter service and I SHOP!! lol Shopping is half the fun for me.
