How Many Meal Vouchers To Buy???

Here's another one of "THOSE" posts....I know...I know..but, try to humor me! LOL Okay...7 full days in WDW. Breakfast at CRT and Chef Mickeys...will probably lunch at Beaches & Cream twice and counter service the rest of the time. The dinner vouchers are toooo expensive so I will be considering the Q & C and the adult breakfast vouchers. Soooo...do I NEED the vouchers for Chef Mickeys? Will I save any money? And......if we eat at Beaches..would we be better sharing ? Or each adult using a voucher?? There is just two adults and a 4 year old who doesnt eat much!! I am trying to decide how many Q & C's to buy...I dont think we will be eating a ton of food for lunch every day..so, don't know how much it would save..but, at least I would have some paid for in advance. Anyway....I could use some advice!

Thanks!!!!

Well, I can answer your question for Beaches n Cream. Two adults can share. You can get the double cheesburger and share it. Their ice cream concoctions are so huge that they can easily be shared, especially if you are having ice cream after a meal. You can order a kid's meal for your 4 year old if you don't think the meal will be enough for everybody.

I agree, Jmouse. Two adults can share the double cheeseburger meal, if you want to. Just order an extra bun on the side and you can create two cheeseburgers for the price of one! Sometimes they CAN be a bit skimpy on the french fries, but that all depends on who is making the plates. And if you order a kids meal, that comes with fries too and they are very inexpensive...so you could technically use one voucher and pay for a kids meal and have meals for the three of you. Personally, Beaches and Cream is my FAVORITE place to use these vouchers. You get the most for your money. Oh, and if you and the other adult are really hungry, just use two vouchers and don't order a separate meal for the 4 year old...and you can all share. And don't forget the dessert...sundaes to DIE for!!!!!

You can also stretch the one meal to serve everybody by ordering a bowl of chicken noodle soup which you'll have to pay for. Even in July, I order their soup; it's my favorite!

Thanks for the good information! I was wondering if it would be enough food for the two of us..I can see it will be. Okay..how about Chef Mickeys?? Is it worth it to use the 17.95 voucher there? I think I might only be saving gratuity?

Also..are there any counter service places inside WDW that can be easily shared using one voucher?

Thanks!

You'll be saving about $5. for the both of you at Chef Mickey's. I'd go for it there.

I think our rule of thumb is to get a breakfast voucher for any breakfast over the 416.95 threshold.

We use 12 Q&C vouchers for our family in a week's time, for lunches and dinners. If that helps.

you can easily share at any place that has toppings bars. You can also order double hamburgers (or cheeseburgers) and a separate bun (insist, and say it's for the kids, if you need to) Then, head to the toppings bar, split the burger, and you've got two meals.

I also make a salad at every meal from the toppings bar. I miss my greens when we go to Disney, and even that doesn't seem to cut it.

Most of those that have hamburgers have toppings bars. I think all the resorts do (have to check on the Delux ones, but I know AKL does.) The one at Pecos Bills' has a great one as it's got fried onions, mushrooms, peppers, (all sauteed, however, but it really does make a great salad)

Be sure when you're picking up your order to ask for a bowl or two. I've been known to make my salad up on a pile of napkins, just because I forgot to ask.

Also, the katsup and mayonnaise, with a little bit of black pepper in, makes a decent substitute for french dressing. I'll also grab a few lemon wedges and eat it without.
