tinkerbell0219, I agree with you. I applied for the card last month to get the room only discount. Did not know about the 4/7 deal then. Did not really care for their customer service. The guy practically tells me to get my husband to apply because I am a stay-at-home mom. I am pretty furious by this point because little does he know we have excellent credit AND I stay home because I choose to! Anyway, like I said before, we will probably cancel this card after the trip. I hope you get your card soon and that they let you get the discount! I will keep my fingers crossed for you.:D

Thanks for your reply. The gentleman told me the same thing because I wouldn't get approved as a stay at home mommy. We too have excellent credit and this wait time is ridiculous. I just hung up with them now and I am as frustrated as ever. My status is still pending. I told TOM at Bank One that I am tired of being led around in a circle by their staff.....I want answers. He supposedly going to call me this afternoon with information. Whatever!!!!

I think that from the day I completed the online application, to the day I got the card in the mail, was about three weeks at most. After two week I received a letter requesting that I mail them a photocopy of two bills with my address on it so they could verify that I was the person who applied for the card online. I had no problem with that, if they didn't anybody could get a credit card in anybody else's name. I called them asking if I could fax them the documents and they said I could. Then the guy said he could expedite it and asked me some questions about my finances to verify my ID. He asked who I had my home mortgage through and to name one of my other credit cards. Then I had my card in less than a week after that.
Unfortunately, from my past experiences, if it takes a long time, it is usually a denial. Add extra time for you to get the denial letter in the mail, since they don't seem to like to tell people they are denied on the phone.

My husband and I did the same thing. They requested a bill and a photocopy of his ss# because the addresses on the credit report didn't match up (We just bought a brand new home and moved). I highly doubt that with our excellent credit report that they would even think of denying us. The woman we spoke with in Correspondence that gave us the fax # told us that we had impeccable credit and commended us. Just frustrating how long it's taking.
