I just found out that southwest airlines is now taking flights out of Philly! If this is old news, I apologize. I just found out and I saw flights as low as $79 roundtrip!!! Unfortunately, they are only taking flights up to 9/13. Hopefully, their flights in January will be as low. Anyone going out of philly in that time frame should take a peek on their official website.:)

I booked for $98 round trip from Philly for our trip in August, and I thought that was a great deal.

I know! I am hoping that the prices are still this low for January flights...hope they take them soon.

Good suggestion. I receive that each week, and it is really nice. They usually feature a desination, and all flights there are discounted. Not a bad way to plan a quick get away.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had myself signed up for Orbitz and travelocity specials via email. I'll have to go and do that...thanks again.

Those of you who have seen pictures of me from the M&G or who have met me at WDW will sort of understand when I say i will never fly SW in spite of the wonderful savings.

I have never had a problem with them. I am going to take them over Song even though they do not have tvs. I am so happy they are in Philly now USAir will have to start offering lower rates. Some business people hate SW because they are picky about seating but I say who cares for me it is only 3 hour flight Florida. I check the SW website everyday. The only bad thing is the flights don't come out that far in advance but oh well. Hope you get that low price.

Yeah, don't worry Dana the news isn't too old. They announced it a while ago but it was not publioised very well. I am waiting for US Airways to lower flights too!! I have already seen some HUGE drops in prices, for my routes. ($220 last summer, $145 this summer). I like flying out of my local airport instead of having to drive the 3 hours to Phllly, I like being able to get there 45 minutes early and then getting on a 30 minute flight then getting on my long flight.

Thanks for the info. Im looking at prices for our flight in Dec. We usually fly spirit airlines out of Atlantic City, but if southwest has a lower rate, Philly airport isnt that far from us either. Yahoo Love to save the money before I go so that I can spend it in DISNEY.

That's great news, Dana! Definitely, signing up for their weekly newsletter is a good idea too. I did that, and it's through that newsletter that I have actually found cheap airfare for my last two WDW trips!!! Good luck!

I am flying out of Philly on Jan 18th. I am holding out for southwest. They seem to be booking five months out, so it won't be to long to wait. They are under at 100 rt. Hang in there. I'll post as soon as I am able to book and let you know.

They are under a hundred dollars RT?????!!!!!! WOW! US Airways has those new awesome deals sepcifically for Philly (in order to compete w/ Southwest) but, that is really cheap!! I have no clue how they make any money!! Well I do know, that they pay their employes a lot less than other airlines such as US Airways.
