So how about a campus representative (I don't know who or from where) posted on a message board the addy to the "secret" campus rep website as well as the ID name and password! Yep- bet that campus rep won't have his (or her) job for long!! I tried to get on this morning to look at the incentive programs- but got a message about the site being only for campus reps and that it was confidential information!! Sometimes I'm so stunned by people, I just really start to wonder what goes through their heads.....

Each Campus Rep is emailed the website's address, the ID name, and password. It changes each semester to ensure security.

Some Campus Rep was stupid enough to post all this information on a message board. Which meant people who aren't CMs could get into information that is classified for Campus Reps. (Like the list of *EVERY SINGLE CAMPUS REP EVERYWHERE* (and I mean everywhere!), which is really only good information for us.)

What's a Campus Rep?

A Campus Representative (or just Rep for short!) is employed by the Walt Disney World College Program. Our basic use is for marketing of the college programs throughout our resepective universities. Each University has different numbers of campus reps, just dependent on the size of your school. My school has six (and this year we finally added another girl to the team so I'm not the only one!!)!

We are all alumni of the college program, so we all have that experience to share. But basically, we hang up posters, hold informational tables, participate in career fairs, attend the presentation, hold an offer session (which gives students who were offered the program more information) and then usually hold a send off party.

Nat, I can't believe someone would do that! Gosh, even when I worked at Disneyland I was afraid to say my first name because everyone knew the attraction I worked at, and I didn't want to say anything that could get me fired.

Someone's either plain stupid or doesn't give a rip about their great job. (Or both!)

Honestly- I watch everything I say- even on campus. If I'm talking about the program, I monitor every single last word, as if someone would catch me here!! It's a little different when my boss is around, but I only see her once a semester (twice if I'm lucky!).

I would be the same way if I were you. As soon as I worked for Disney, I felt like all eyes were on me whenever I was on DC. (I don't know why!) But my Disney University "professor" did tell us that they occasionally watched Disney discussion boards, and to be careful what we said. She said they'd fired people before for leaking "insider information" or saying inappropriate things about Disney higher-ups, whatever...

The last thing I wanted to do was lose my dream job, so I was on pins and needles!

(Even when I had to quit suddenly, I begged my manager to make sure I was leaving on a "good note" so that I could come back. I almost made him cry! Haha. I wanted to do everything right.)

I know they watch this stuff on message boards- my luck I'd get caught saying something stupid. Honestly though- when everyone was talking about Eisner last year- I kept my two cents in my head, I wasn't trying to get involved with that!!

Urgh, yeah I'm hoping I didn't "open mouth, insert foot" because I'm sure I said something about Eisner...or many things. I guess it doesn't matter anymore, but I just wouldn't want any marks on my history when I go back. Not that I said anything bad, right?
