The front desk training does sounds exciting. Actually it all sounds exciting!

I'm not even sure why I got my Hula Hoop taken away. But I sure put up a fight for it. Tomorrow I will be back twirling away.....I know it.

I'll only be there (at the hotel) from 6-11 tomorrow, I have a meeting from 11-3, which is not at the hotel. But keep an eye out for me anyways- I might be floating around....

Gee, a man with two kids- I don't see that everyday.

Anyways- I'm starting my training for front desk on Sunday (yay!) and then for the next two weeks I'll be inside training. I'm short with short, dark brown hair and I still have "Where Magic Lives..." nametag (which is ghetto cause everyone else has a new one!) that says E. Carolina University on the bottom. I still haven't figured out how to get a good picture on here so you guys can see what I look like so you can find me. But I'll work on it.

PS- we have a new "magical moment" at Pop Century- Look for POP Star of the Day!

I guess with my job "ghetto" is a bad thing. Cause everyone picks on me because of my nametag being old. But until recently, my managers hadn't noticed. They ordered me a new one, but I'm not sure when I'll be receiving it.

Can't wait to start Front Desk training on Sunday! That means 5 days of classroom training (aka not being out in the hot Florida sun pushing luggage around)!

Outside of my nametag being old, everything here is fabulous. My managers are real cool, my co-workers are so much fun and so nice, and I genuinely love my job. Recently, I began making "Welcome to Pop Century" signs out of sidewalk chalk on the drive. I'm always so impressed with myself, since I have no art capabilities. Dance? Sure, no problem. Music? Bring it on! Art? I'm running scared. Well anyways, I've been making the welcome sign, with the classic kind of explosion thing around it (if you've ever seen Pop's Logo, it looks like that, only not as cool). Everyday once I'm done making the sign, I look at it and I'm like I wish I had my camera, cause I'm just that impressed with myself. But the last two days, I've become upset mid afternoon because little kids have drawn all over my welcome sign.

I forgot to mention the "Pop Star of the Day." I hate to give it all away, but we pick one child to be our "Pop Star." It's supposed to be someone checking in. We draw a huge box out of sidewalk chalk, draw around their hands and feet (like movie stars in cement), and write their name, the date, and "Pop Star of the Day" next to it. They also receive a button, balloon, a picture of them with their box, and a magical moments certificate. The picture and the certificate are delivered to their room later in the day. It's actually pretty fun, kids get a kick out of it, and yesterday we had quite the production surrounding "Pop Star" everyone was stopping to check it out!

(PS- incase I haven't said this, I really love my job!)
