To all those who are considering becoming college program interns as well as parents/friends of those who want in:

There are going to be new changes for the College Program. The benefits, specific internships, and much more is undergoing a change to make it a more like the internship it is. A new site, www.disneyinterns.com, should be up and have the information. Just wanted ya'll to all be on the up and up.

Looking at the link, I am glad to see these changes. Frankly, it's about time. An internship is supposed to be geared towards your life/college goals. I saw too many "interns" selling ice creams and running cash registers. I have never seen a college degree in these type of fields.

Wow, those internships look great. It kind of looked like this is just an addition to the already existing CP though, is that correct? My guess is that the regular format CP with the ice cream and t-shirt selling won't be going completely away anytime soon since Disney relies so much on the cheap labor.

Looked at the internships way back in July and was really impressed by whats offered.
Still Karen is right they will never get rid of the old system, way to easy to get the cheap labor!
Problem with this new system is it's still not really open to those outside the system. Looking over it many of them had requirements of being cp alumni, which for a majority of people out there takes them out of the running.
Still I think there should be a degree in ice cream, not selling, but maybe eating??
