Wow, it's been awhile since I posted anything in this thread. Well if you read the other thread, you know that I have been very sick and not working at all this last week. So I really don't have much to post about at this point that relates to Disney.

Something cool that did happen to me though on Thursday...

For all those who are familiar with Matisyahu (he's a Jewish rapper/reggae), I absolutely love his music. He's one of my favorites. Well a few months ago, Drew surprised me and bought tickets for the concert at House of Blues. It was completely sold out, but he still managed to get some. I will never understand his innerworkings.

To start off the night, when we were in line to get in, a local radio station had a booth where you could roll the dice and if you rolled a 5 or 9, you won a prize. Well of course Drew rolls a 5 and he picked the brand new Matisyahu CD that just came out. (I didn't win.) So that was really cool.

The concert was absolutely amazing! The best one I have ever been to! Luckily I managed to make it through even with my health problems (I had been really worried about this all day). Well after the concert, Drew had even more luck.

A friend of Drew's ran into him and mentioned how after the concert, Matisyahu was having a prayer service and he was going to it. You had to be invited by the local rabbi and he mentioned how Drew should try to come (yes, Drew is Jewish). So after the concert, we hang out with a large group and there are tons of people trying to get in on the prayer service. The rabbi told Drew that he had already given away all the backstage passes, but as the selected males (females were not allowed for the service) were going in, all of a sudden the rabbi told Drew to follow him and he got to go backstage.

So Drew and about 10-15 other males got to pray with Matisyahu and talk with him. And Drew told me how Matisyahu let him use his personal prayer book. Not fair! Drew asked if I could meet him after the prayer service, but they weren't allowing it. But Drew did have him sign the CD for me, so I was happy. But seriously, Drew had the best luck that night. Again, I will never understand the innerworkings of him and how he manages to get the best of everything.

Fabulous night though. Matisyahu rocked! Too bad cameras were not allowed inside.

What a cool night! And what a great guy! But he's the lucky one--he certainly got the best of everything with you Ginger!! Again, I hope you're feeling better soon!

Ginger....I know you've been sick, but any chance you're working this Saturday? A friend of mine and I are going into the parks and I was figuring if I'm going in, I might as well see if you're going to be there! Let me know....I told you the next time I decided to venture into the parks I'd try to come see you!

She wrote an account of what happened to her somewhere on the site. Basically, she got sick and they fired her. It was apparently due to some not very nice supervisor she had. So she left and now she's working at the Swan.
