Ok, I found out my room yesterday (drum roll).......

I'm going to be on the tram in the MGM Backstage Studio Tour!!! I have to learn a 20 minute spiel!!! I'm sooo nervous! I thought I'd get something like ToT and I'd just load people on rides! I will learn how to drive the tram and give the tour. I will get to sit down thought, so that's cool... I guess. I'm so nervous, I don't even think I'll be able to do it!

I'm totally moved into my apartment in Vista Way, apt XXXX. I've opened up an account with Vista Federal Credit Union... An exclusive Disney credit union. I've signed my life over in forms and paper work! Today I start my first official day of work, which is really just a class called Traditions. It's something that every Disney employee goes through and it just teaches you all about the company history.

Well, I'm on a dial up modem and we only have one phone line, so I'll talk to you guys as soon as I can!

How exciting! That would actually be my dream job. You will do great, I will have to look for you when I'm down in March. Keep us posted, you know we may want to live vicariously thru you, since most of our jobs aren't that exciting :whistle: . Most of all have a blast!! :D :D

I've got incredible goosebumps!

The first time I went on the ride was just a couple of weeks ago. I found out later I had one of the best "hams" on staff! I was glad to get her - she made it fun, as I know you will.

Will have to ask for you when we go down next! It will be neat to get an autograph from a DC Celebrity! :D

Same goes for your first and last name. It's out there for the world to see. Maybe you could edit that part out... click on edit right below you post!! :nervous Everyone here seems really friendly but you don't know about those who just hang out and read posts... EEK. Congrats! My dream is to move to FLA and get a job either in or near Disney! Since I can retire next month (20 long years) it is a very viable pipedream!

Now the dad in me comes out! I must echo the previous post...You should be more careful about the info you put out here concerning your address and full name, plenty of kooks out there, you should edit that!

Hi, I saw in your post " Spring 2003 WDWCP " You said you will be doing the program for 7 months, I thought it was only 4 months? Is there a special thing you can apply for to make it longer? Or do you get to choose?

When you apply/interview they will ask. You can have spring, spring advantage, fall, or fall advantage. The regular season is Jan-May or Aug-Dec, and the advantages are Jan-Aug and May-Dec (I think that's how fall advantage runs). It's all up to what you apply to do.

Glitteri! How is the program going? Your probably a pro at it by now. I've been following the boards with a little bit of interest. My son loves Disney and the college program may be something he would like to do some day. I've read the literature and I have been following about five people on the message board who are in the program.

Don't be surprised if a fat old man with a University of Michigan baseball cap and a young six year old kid says hello as the your tour goes through MGM (as we knock the snow off of our shoulders).

You got a really good job!! I'm so jealous...I got stuck as a Quick Service Food and Beverage hostess while I was down there. I was planning to return this summer as an Alumni, but they won't let me do that any more :cry: You can only do seasonal work, and well, personally, I don't want to do seasonal work in QSFB! But best wishes on your program! You'll love it!
