Thanks for the support everyone! Today was check in day, and its all a blur. I am exhausted and happy. My roommates are great, I'm living in Chatham - the complex I wanted. I am really looking forward to meeting new people too. Tomorrow I find out what my role in operations is!!!!! I'm pretty nervous. It's something that OSHA has deemed noisy because I have to take a hearing test in the morning. So I am baffled. There is a road trip report coming soon too - Colorado to Florida and the car didn't break down until this morning! But life is good and thats a story for later.

I can't believe I'm here. This is unbelievable and amazing. I've never been here before, I've lost all my bearings and any sense of direction. But I love, it still doesn't feel real. More later - thanks for reading!!!

Hi folks, sorry for the lack of updates. There is a full one coming soon, I promise. Well, I am in ticketing operations at Pleasure Island. I'm embarrassed to say that I was a little disappointed to find this out. I had always assumed that no matter what happened I would at least be in a park. I guess we know what happens when you assume things. Anywho the reason I wanted to do the College Program was to bring Magic and Smiles to people here. I also wanted to be able to work with kids and the disabled.

Long story short, I will do my best to bring magic to people at Pleasure Island. I'm sure I will get some smiles, and if I really want to be in Attractions I just need to enjoy my time and be the best little ticketer ever. So I am excited. My only concern now are the hours and the smoke because I am highly allergic to it.

It's great down here though, I don't want anyone to think that I'm a bad CP and hate my role. I love everything so far! My roommates are wonderful and I am amazed by the parks. It's so great. Last night we just decided to head to MGM Studios to watch Fantasmic, hit Ghiridelli's and then come home. Life is really rough. There is magic here and all I want to do is bring it to people, so no matter what my role is I'm going to make somebody's vacation memorable. I am very proud to be a Walt Disney World Cast Member. Ok, thats all for now, you get more later . . . but I have a date with Disney World!!

Make sure you check out Disney VoluntEARS, they always have things going on where you can volunteer to help out in those areas. I did, and it was VERY rewarding.

And remember, there is magic everywhere down there! you have the opportunity to do "take 5'S" where you can seek out guest interaction and make a memory with guests... Disney encourages this. I always enjoyed getting folks to let me take photos of them with their cameras. I would then proceed to grab other tourists, castmembers, characters, trash cans, trees and get them in the photos. I know for a fact that at least on one occasion, a family said that this made thier day!!!

I've heard that there are major changes coming for pleasure island so you'll have to keep us posted. How did they go about placing you in Chatham, and how many roomates do you have?

I have my introduction to Downtown Disney tomorrow so I will let you know what I can, and what I am allowed to :)

As far as Chatham goes I have one of the first Spring Advantage move-in dates. They basically asked if I had a preference of apartments and how many roommates. I got exactly what I wanted. I was also there as early as I could be in the morning for check-in. (even though my car broke down that morning! At least it made it to Florida) I really like Chatham though and would reccommend it!

I've been spending my free time in the parks (I'll stop bragging) and swear you will get full details soon!

Oh definately plan on it. I really like Chatnam so far. When is your arrival date? I'm pretty sure that I'll be working nights so I have days free.

I start training tonight! I'm nervous because of the smoke at Pleasure Island and I'm allergic, also because I am a morning person not a night owl! I will adjust. I'm also going to try and pick up some overtime at other parks hopefully!!!!!

By the way, I saw the Bibbidy Bobiddy Boutique yesterday, the little girls coming out are so cute! They can get a dress, their make up and nails done, and a full tiara! I just hope that some of them are wondering around when I'm working. SOOOOOO adorable!

I might be wrong but I thought that Florida has restrictions on indoor smoking. I don't know how that applies to bars or PI though. I know that the theme parks only allow smoking in restricted areas. I hope you don't have to be around it. It would irritate my alleriges too.
