I've always said that my birthday does not last just one day!!! Party the day before, the day after, the weekend after...you get the idea, especially since it is your 21st birthday!!!

Awww, working on your birthday stinks. You can make a good time of it at work though, I don't know what your job assignment is but I saw this girl in the Japanese pavillion on my last trip that had something on her nametag saying it was her birthday and all the guests around us were congratulating her. The other CMs she worked with seemed to be having fun with it too.
Then, you can go out another time! Let your birthday last a whole week. hehe.

I totally wish I had words of encouragement...but at risk of sounding cold (I'm not trying to, I promise!
 )...get used to it.  That's the BIGGEST BIGGEST BIGGEST STINKER about working for Disney. CP or otherwise.  They don't seem to give a flyin' flip about your birthday or anniversary or anything.  I worked every holiday for them...Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day...and all I wanted in exchange was ONE day off for DH and I to try and spend some time together. I couldn't even get that!  I hope you can still have a great birthday though! 21 is so much fun!!  You're working for the Mouse! Keep your chin up!

Aww. I spent the morning of my 21st birthday at the Magic Kingdom and then worked that night from 2:30 to 10:30 or something like that on my CP. Everyone at work got together in the stockroom and sang Happy Birthday to me and I got to ride Splash Mountain in the morning.
Then when I got back to my apartment, some friends brought me my first "legal" drink. So it wasn't so bad that I had to work. Do somehting fun in the morning and I am sure you will have a good day!

heheh thanks guys! I know-- I came fully expecting to work, I just had some small glimmer of hope somewhere that I might not have to, or that I would at least get day shift! Oh well! Hi-ho, Hi-ho.. its off to work I go!

Happy bd anyway. If it makes you feel any better, this won't be the last bd you'll have to work. Sunday morning still counts as you birthday until you go to sleep. You'll just have to start the party a little late. (I would say have your first drink a little late but I have 2 in college so I'm betting that's NOT the case.
