College Program
Whoops, probably posted this previously in the WRONG place!!! Anyway, my daughter will be participating the WDW College Program next semester. Our family is really excited. We are taking her January 4 and plan to visit her several times. Anyone want to share their child's experience in this program? Any insight will be greatly appreciated!!

Congrats to your DD!! I know there are some posters around here who have been IN the college program..and maybe a few parents! I wish I had known about it when I was in college..I would have done it in a heartbeat!

Congrats to your daughter, Anna! I did the College Program 7 years ago (GULP!) and it was one of the best things I ever did!
My parents came down to visit me once during my stay and had a great time. Your daughter will have a great time!

Hello! I actually just got back a few months ago from the college program. It was definitely a very positive experience, a bit more work than I thought it was going to be, but still fun. I know your daughter doesn't know exactly where she'll be working down there, but no matter what it is, I'm sure she'll love it once she gives it a try.
Also, when you first check in they'll ask her preference on where she wants to live and how many people she wants to live with. I lived in Chatham in an apartment with 7 other people and loved it! Plus rents cheaper the more girls she lives with. Other than that, just be prepared for the first week to be pretty crazy with all the meetings you have to go to. And make sure she dresses professionally enough to Traditions because I didn't and they made me walk to costuming to borrow some pants!

From a mom's point of view, it is a great experience!! My daughter went June-Dec in 2003. She had a wonderful time and made some really good friends. I was able to visit a couple of times and being 'on the inside' was a great experience for me as well. We are looking forward to her first trip back since working there this Christmas. We can hardly think of anything else since it will be her 11mo old daughter's first trip ever.
Congratulations to your daughter and I know you will enjoy visiting her there.
