I worked in DHS (which was still MGM at the time, haha!) on Hollywood Blvd. My main location was Keystone Clothiers which was adult apparel, watches and hats. But we also worked in two hub carts in front of the Chinese Theater, did parade control and occassionally worked Fantasmic (both the carts and walking around with the tray of light swords, etc) Shortly after I left, they rezoned everything on Hollywood Blvd so I think the area assignments are different.

I really wanted to work in MK but ended up loving working in the Studios. The streetmosphere actors would often come into our store and cause a ruckus or just chit chat in character. It was so fun.

Congrats, Stacey!!!! You will have so much fun. Like my sig says, I served fast food in the MK for 6 months, and even THAT was really fun.

And yes, finish school. I really enjoyed my program, and while I wished I could just up and leave all my stress and go back to work there, I'm really glad I didn't and earned a degree. (My time spent in Florida actually pushed me in the direction of art; sometimes your job choice is totally unexpected and non-sequitor, but Disney definitely helped!) Who knows, maybe I'll work there again someday.

Sometimes we'd say "2:60".

My CP was in Merchandise. It was pretty great because most of the time you had a lot of time to chat with the guests and for the most part you didn't deal with irate people. There's not much that can get someone worked up while they are just buying a t-shirt.

People get worked up in QSFB...."I'm hungry, my kids are hungry, gimme my change and gimme my chicken sammich!" But it still had its moments. Like just standing there and handing out stickers!! Even running the trays was nice; I could stop and talk to guests at my leisure.
